I'm still trying to get my brain to function from the heat, so

forgive my rambling!!

I'm not good at race descriptions, as I don't watch the races!!

Too nervous!! But Keith gave very good ones! So hop over to the

Slingshot thread and read all about it!

Anyone want to help me out with things I'm forgetting, jump

in here!!

It is a fun event. Scott did great holding his own in with the old dudes as well. Mom finally kicked down some of the good stuff and your truck was a rocket! Too bad the truck broke a leg in the main! Dang old truck!

Again all your support does not go unnoticed and we are truely grateful to have sponsors by our sides through the good and the bad and stress fun is more important then results. (even though everyone knows fun is directly proportional to results which is why it is important to run Banzai power to get better results and have more fun!) It was a great weekend and I am glad the whole team did so well in representing this weekend.

Hope you two make it home safe and we will see you again soon!

Dave-- Glad to help out any way we can!

YES!! Everything Casper said. You guys were great this weekend, I appreciate all the effort that you guys did to make sure our motors were the best in the field. And thanks to all the other Banzai members.....Casper, Ryan, Kyle and Chris Boice, Fez, Keith Whisler, Skinny, Downtown, Pang, etc for all the support during the race!! I forgot how much fun it was going to the big races Cant wait for the next one.

Banzai Scott-After Further 'video replay and review' We have come to the conclusion that my 'issue' in 19t was in fact 'car design flaw'

The motor mount allows the brushes and hoods to be straight up and down. (verticlal)
'conventional' mounting has the hoods and brushes parallel to the ground.

The Quad, with its bad landings for 19t, had me dropping the car from 8 ft high to flat bottom. I'm SURE that is what caused my failure.
Spring was still intact as well as in its hood and the post was straight.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Scott and Judi and the rest of the Banzai crew. Great job at the Cactus.

Judi it was nice to meet you and finally get to put a face with the emails. I look forward to seeing you at the next race. Maybe next time it won't be so hot. Hopefully Anita can come and meet you too.

Casper it was great to meet you too. Now I have a face to go along with the emails. We gotta work some more on that scoring spreadsheet thing. Gotta make it easy for Jimmy you know.

Congrats to the all the Banzai drivers for doing a great job at the Cactus. Judi, and Scott stay in the cool for a few days.

Later,
Gary Bruce

It was great meeting you too Gary. Yeah Jimmy has the sheet I have down pretty good. Not sure if he wants to change it up but I do like a lot of the features in your spread sheet! I will have to sit down with Jimmy here soon to see what he wants to do. It is a bit more of a drive but if you like fast tracks and hot weather the shootout is one heck of a race!

Yep, the 21st Annual Cactus Classic was the FIRST off road broadcast... from SRS..... and it was spectacular! At one point, we had 762 people watching the show.....

Again, Judi.. thank you for coming to our event and thanks to your team for being absolutely professional in their attitudes and racing. Team Banzai is AWESOME!
