Judi--Hopefully they don't catch you biting all your nails off waiting to hear the results from the mains with Banzai drivers in them.... For those of you who don't know, Judi can't handle watching the mains and will leave the area in some instances. We don;t have to be nervous when mom's nervous for us.....

Hey Casper which Bonza stock would you say is best for Family Hobbies? I had a CO27 with like 10 runs and a fresh cut on the comm and it was slooooooooooow.

I would say a CO27 in your truck. That is what Keith was running when he finished 2nd in the stock buggy main! He was runing in the 19's too.

With as dusty as the track was you need to cut the comm at least every 4 runs. The dust is not good in getting in the motor. 10 runs is too long for any stock motor. You may not need to replace the brushes (if running 766's) but at least cut the comm every 4-6 runs. I would not put more then 15 runs on a set of 766's. If running 767 you need to replace the brushes every time you cut the motor in order to keep it at tip top shape. Talk with Steve Butts or Ray and have them look at the motor for you.

I have a buggy :P

Ray actually cut the comm for me the last time I ran it, and I think I ran a main with it and then moved up to 19t, so this Sat was the 2nd-4th run on it and it was dog slow. Not sure what the deal is but Jayson gave me a 10 year old motor and it was WAY faster than mine.

I'd be willing to try a Bonzai CO27 though if that's what would be best for a buggy there.

K King, I am guessing the Co27 is NOT a Banzai

that you are talking about??

What brushes were you using and did you replace them when it was cut?

Trinity sends theirs out with different springs than

we use.

They also use 2 different kinds of brushes. The pros come

with 4499's and the others, I'm not sure. We don't use

those unless a customer specifically asks.

Different companies do different things to their motors.

Even gearing can change with different brushes and springs.

Just read your hoods on your motor has an "issue". That will

make a hugh difference.

Oh, I hope nobody took offense at my "sand box"

reference! I only meant that all my boys would

be running together, North and South, and I wanted

them to behave!!!!!

For the CO27 also? I know I need some new ones on the Money Motor, but after you cut that it was pretty fast, its the stock motor that feels sloooooooooooooooow.
