Casper - Looking at tire recomendations for the JBRL, one should be fine with a set of Losi red Bk bars and Losi X-2000 red or the Panther and [proline equevalent. What tire between the three would hold up best?

Depends on the track. I would say BK bars will last the longest at the HRH. It is the safest tires choice for round 1.

For the JBRL last year, I ran only 4 types of tires... Holeshot M3, BK Bars red, tapers (truck), Switch 2.0s soft and SS, and Losi Ifmar pins red.

BKs, Switch 2.0s, and tapers (truck) at HRH. Ifmars at Hemet. Holeshots at SoCal, Pegasus (some ran red x-2000s), and Revelation.

I did not run B-field or Camarillo though...

If I could only pick two tires to run the entire series with it would be ifmar pins and holeshots. Racers Haven and HRH are the only two tracks that will groove enough to run BK bars. Racers Haven took until the second round to groove though. We were on holeshots and X-2000 type tires before then.

I tried to list the tires that would work from the three major tire manufactures. Some will work better then other and personal preference will determine what you want to use but what I put on the site was a guide on what to bring. Conditions this year could vary from last and I may end up being well off target but if I would a betting man I would say at least one of the tires I have listed on each tracks page will hook up at that track.

I didn't even notice that Nice writeups!

I know you don't race 4wd, so just fyi, but losi no longer makes 4wd front silver tapers. I Wish they did, but they dont

I have done some updates to the JBRL web site. Let me know what you think. Also I think I had the polls set to run for a month so if you want to be heard get over there and vote.

Hello there Jimmy!! For those of you that don't know,

Jimmy will be THE announcer for the upcoming Cactus

Classic! SoCal really is invading the Cactus this

year!!

If you can get out to the track and help on February 18th,

please do so. Remember this will be our track for the 1st

JBRL race.

And, go vote if you haven't yet. It's our chance to voice

our opinions.

Judi

Thanks Judy and well said. This series is for the racers so what you say goes! Your voice can only be heard if you vote! The new track will be for the first JBRL race as Judy said so take pride in the series and your local Southern California tracks by helping where and when you can. Plus wouldn't it be sweet to have free club racing for two weeks prior to round 1!

Oh ya.....I was just asked today to announce and race direct this years Modified and Stock Offroad Electric Nationals in Albq. New Mexico! Hope to see you all there as well. We are getting around this year!!!!
