I ran my KD 19T motor for the entire JBRL series as well as the shootout last year. Motor ran perfect the whole time! (won that series with that one motor!) It died (comm got too small got afraid to run it in an important race) before the Reedy truck race.

I usually have 3 or so stock motors for each car on hand. That way if I get lazy I can just put a new motor in and cut that one or work on it later. I have Co27, monster and P2k2 motors. (at least 2 of each) to be prepared if needed. I hope to have a new Co27 motor for my truck and buggy for the cactus and then run them for the JBRL this year. I have run the same 3 CO27 motors since they came out. (use them in my buggy and truck) That included the JBRL series, Shootout and club races last year. These things last a long time if you treat them right. Believe it or not but a motor will last longer if you cut it on a regular basis. If you wait too long between cuts you to more damage to the comm while the motor is not running at top performance and you need to make a deeper cut when you do, do the maintaince. If you skim the comm every 3-6 runs you remove less material and the motor stay at is best performance. If you run it 15 times it is has been my experience you have to cut up to 3 times as deap to clean up the comm to make it smooth again. Hope this makes a little sense.

Several more Banzai Team Drivers are in for

the Cactus. Brian Sullivan and Vanair!

Felles emailed, he's waiting for Losi to "pencil"

him in!! Wouldn't be the same without the

"Ironman" !!

Downtown's order is in the mail. Should be there tomorrow.

Remember, all Banzai CP mods sent to Downtown have an

extra pair of free CP Infinity brushes!!!!!

Not bad Mom!! I'm trying to sell off any extra "junk" that I can do without so I can order tires, motors, batteries for Cactus. $600.00 for a new heater in the house puts a bit of a chink in da chain We actually let the track at Family dry out so we can run it swept and get some simulated "Cactus conditions". Try out tires and suspension setups, etc

This must be the week for household breakage!!

So far this week we had to get a new lawn mower,

and yesterday a new washer!!

I think we need to have a hugh R/C flea market

so we all can raise some cash!!

Of course, I'm sure we'd all just buy each others stuff!!!

If it doesn't warm up a bit, none of us will get much practice

before the 1st JBRL. Hoping that will be the Cactus warm-up

race!

I race 1-2 times a week. Does that mean I'm one of the few that is going to get much practice in? Probably going to be picking up some stuff from Ultimate tomorrow for this Friday, need to get a new wing and such for the 1/10th scale Truggy.

Cactus is a lot like HRH for a big race. (assuming is stays try this year!)

Buggy. Panther Soft Switch 2.0 and med soft bobcat fronts. Losi Red BK bars and silver taper fronts.

Truck. Panther Soft Switch or Switch 2.0 and Med soft wookies up front. Losi Red tapers and silver tapers up front.

That is what I would recommend. It is been a couple years since I have been out there but this is typical outdoor swept hard blue groove racing. I think it is great they are running qual points this year. When it was rocket round the temps on the track would change so much the mid day runs when the track was warm were about a lap faster then the morning and evening runs. So really you had two practice runs and two shots at getting a good qualifier in. This way with qual points is should be a lot better as it will take track temps out of qualifing.
