I have seen poeple get hit by R/C cars. Not usually a pretty sight. Glad you are ok as well. It is like crossing the street with flying objects. Sometimes is seems like those little cars are out to get you!

so Casper, i was practicing, went out to flip my car over and it smelt pretty hot, so took it to the pit, checked the temp with an infared, the can was at 186 degrees , i pulled out a brush and looked at the comm, everything looked fine, anything i should be doing different? (Luckily i flipped it, not someone else)

How long were you out there for? What motor and gearing?

The issue most of the time is 4200mah batteries you can run for 15min+ with a stock motor. Races only last 5 min though. The extra time on the track will get the motor hot. I try not to run for more then 7-8 min tops per run. I set the timer on my radio to keep track of run time. I stop the clock when I flip and start it again when I go as with practice you can be upside down for a while depending on if you have help on the track!

Thanks Casper.

Brandon: Casper is right. Sometimes we forget how long we are on the track during a practice session, so it is always a good idea to time your practice time. Casper will have to help you with the gear on the MF1, but sometimes these motors will smell a little funny. During the commutating process, there is an electrical arcing and gases are produced, sometimes giving off a funny smell.

You are geared right. I would say you were probably just on the track a little too long! It does not sound like anything bad happend!

Fergy- I will definitely be at the Battle at the Beach! I should be there racing 1/8 buggy and either stock or mod buggy. Shoot me a pm with any questions you might have. And definitely come introduce yourself at the Battle.

Casper(because he's ran on our track)Scott or Judi?(this is where I ask for 'good' advice )
Should we be practicing with the 'green can' stock for Cactus? (Our layout is a lil faster than before) 19 second laps compared to 23 or 24's
I have had a little better luck with the blue, on our track before, and am still running it with great results ?
But,If so Judi, we need some.
I also need those cp mod brushes.
Tomorrow(or today) , is the 'phone call' day it looks like
P.s. Just realized "I" was an addict now?
Do they have a 12 step for R/c junkies?
P.s. I hope to use your BANZAI logo on our 'drive' flyer, is that o.k.?
