Truck-- Pink Kingpins or M3 Holeshots.

I can help there too!

Most people run Holeshot M3s on a wet track (fresh). However, when it starts to dry out, X-2000s pink are considered a little faster. The new X-3000s are still pretty new, so I dont have much experience with them. They feel alright. Maybe Casper knows better since he had some Wed.

The pros last year at Supercross were running square fuzzies. Those are 1-2 run tires in mod though.

As for what I run, don't ask. You don't want to know

Casper: True, but it was SO loose with bowties! I generally like to gear with FDR, then I alwasy know I'm right, but luckily I have a caculator and memorized tranny ratios!

That is why they call them blow ties! When it is really loose and wet they do work alright but not most of the time. The good thing is they last forever!

The drier the track the better the pink. The wetter the track M3 or R3 are better. The M3 compound is a better bet if you want to be on the safe side.

If I had to pick one tire to have I would have Pink X-2000 for the buggy and M3 Holdshots with the truck. Grey Bomb one foam for both!

I have a pair of X-3000 but have not mounted them yet. AJ Freeman has run them and loved them. I would stick with 2000 to be on the safe side but I think I am going to really like the 3000 but since I have not tried them I cannot say for certain.

I tried AJ's X-3000s. Unfortunately I didn't try them back to back with pink X-2000s. Only up against my "special" tires

How did you like them compared to your "special" tires?

As far as I remember, the X-3000s felt as if they were very stable in corners and rotated very well. No traction rolling. But, they didnt have as much foward bite as I would've liked for mod.

Just go for Holeshot M3s or Pink X-2000s.

So Cal will have the tires if you get them this week. There is a possibility they may run out by the weekend. Pegasus should have the m3 holeshots but I doubt they will have and losi pink compounds. Ultimate may have the pink tires as well.

Sorry for hijacking the thread to talk about tires Judi!

Back to motor stuff. I hope to go to So Cal for some practice and "testing" wed. I need to see if I can get the day off but I think I can make it work. I have never had practice before a supercross before. They have always built the track the day before so this should be interesting. I just hope I do not run out of parts!

That's not hijacking, Casper! I like to see us talking about

EVERYTHING R/C related!!

From what I am hearing, everyone going to the SuperCross

should bring extra parts, not just tires. So, if you think you may

need it, bring it!!!!! Casper can probably give us a more detailed

report after he practices there Wednesday.

The super cross track usually has at least one obscene jump in it. (obscene defined as 20ft+ gap) I hope this year is no different but if you are running 19T or mod there is an excellent chance you will break your car in at least one round if you "go" for everything. These tracks are always fun if you like air time!
