First I get up this morning and Scott's laughing because

someone asked on another forum what they were going to

call the Ohio State, Michigan game, "The Trailer Park" game??

Being a Texan, he thought that was hilarious! This Buckeye

isn't laughing!!!

Then he tells me him and Casper are playing on the thread!!

So, I come here to find him posting wild, football carrying,

turkeys!!!!!!!

And you all wonder where I get all this grey hair from!!!!

The new CheckPoint tear-downs arrived today!! We now have

black cans and a dark grey can! Remember we wind our own,

so you can order any wind you want! ( Ask Casper for details! )

Also, a little tip, only use your fingers to tighten down the brush-nuts

on these motors, finger tight only!! You do NOT need some special

tool, just use your fingers! Consumer friendly!!

Yes special winds can be done if you ask nice! Also remember Banzai welds the tabs to there motors so they winds do not fly apart if you run some crazy low turn winds!

It is fun to play with different motor winds. Regardless of what you choose it will be fast if it has a Banzai lable on it!

Hey Bob, I think the winter "blues" have set in already!

Casper, I think everyone likes to order special winds, just

because they can!!

You're turning into Jason's favorite because he loves winding the

multi-strands!! Although he even did the singles this week!

Ah oh. You got jason winding the singles. Was he a bad boy this week!

The multistrands are more fun. These days with everyone running singles and doubles it is funny to see peoples faces when you tell them you are running a 12X6!

A 12 WHAT! I think we're one of the only motor company's left that go above a triple. Speaking of special winds, I balanced something special for someone this week.

Could it be a special wind motor for So Cal racing!

Only the old school guys have ever run the multistrand wires. I told Josh Numan what I was running. The look on his face was priceless!

Some of the big boys used to run some trick stuff at M-N-M, but they wouldn't admit it. They'd run all day and wouldn't take the motor out of their car. You can't do that with 10 or 11's.

Well, it's kind of a strange set-up. We are an official OEM company

for CheckPoint. That means we get tear-down mods, and are able

to wind our own, unlike other companies that just re-label CP motors.

But, for right now, they are not selling the 19t to us as an OEM company.

You have to be a store, or know someone that has a store that will

order them for you. We have lots of stores and tracks, but prefer

to order for ourselves and do the tuning on 19t's, not just re-label.

Hope that makes sense!!

Derek, I lost my paper with your results, please post them for me!!

Well, I see the Roar elections are over. I've read quite a few of the

other threads on how to improve Roar, and what candidates will do

if elected. And it seems everything stays the same, so I just have a

few random thoughts. Please feel free to post yours!

There are 4550 Roar members. There are 38,377 registered users

on R/C Tech. 258 votes for a president, or 5.7% of the members.

The largest races of the year are the Snowbirds, Vegas Race, Cleveland,

Cactus, Hot Rod's Shoot-Out, and the JBRL Series. None are Roar events.

Largest payouts for ALL racers not large manufactures' paid pros,

over $8,000.00 by the JBRL Series. So, I guess I'm thinking racers want

rules, rules that are basic and are/can be tweaked by promoters or owners

of a series like Jimmy's, and are pretty uniform around the country.

Manufacturers will always be more concerned about the basher crowd, that's

where 90% of people who buy their products are. This is why the

rebuildable stock was made BEFORE it was Roar approved. Everyone's

already using 4200 batteries before they are legal, unless it's an end of

year race like the Reedy was. OEM companies just go with the flow, we

don't have any choice in what we make or what is legal, we just try to

buy the best products available.

How many of you will realistically ever race at the Ifmar World's? Which is

why we need Roar??? How many of you will CHOOSE to TRAVEL to the Roar

Nats, or would you CHOOSE to TRAVEL to the Cactus or the Snowbirds

if you could only attend one????

Just curious!!!!!!!
