Here are some races coming up in Florida. The State Series is the 2nd weekend of every month. Then we have regionals in August. Other than that I think that is all that is going on. If anyone hears of anything going on in the south drop me a line.

Judi- If you happen to talk to chris let him know that I am going and that I would be happy to carpool if he's into that sort of thing. I'll probably call him too, but I don't know if I'll be able to get around to that for the next couple days.

Charlie- Its dialed that you guys are running that layout but I don't get to run the Reedy....womp, womp. I am down to go out there and race though so let me know of dates/times. Also, will my sorex 36r..s be ok or do I need to invest in some different rubber?

Default Hello from Vegas

Hello Everyone,
My name is Kevin Thompson, I am a newbie to the Banzai Team and to using your R/C Tech forum. I live in Las Vegas and just wanted to say Hello and to let you know that the track in Vegas is now open. I will keep you informed on changes as they happen. The owner is working out the small details each week. There are currently about 100 pit spaces and a large area in the back room (Inside) for even more pit space. We have been racing on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Here is the url to the contact info:

Cutting-Edge R/C

If anyone is interested in comming out, make sure hotels rooms are available. Vegas is a town that is constantly having conventions, so rooms are not always available. Texas Station is the closest hotel to the track and the room rates should be OK.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Keep up the great racing!

Hey Kevin, what are the tires out there? I have a feeling that a spontaneous vegas trip may be in my near future.

Ryan, finally you can post!! Glad you made it!

Kevin is our new family member. Welcome! He is going to keep us up-to-date on the Vegas racing scene. He has been traveling to SoCal to race, so we're really glad he has a home track now.

Jeremy, maybe we need a Banzai caravan trip to Vegas!

Default Vegas Tires

The Vegas track is going thru phases now. The clay they have came from the bottom of a pond. It has been in the building for 3 months ans is still very wet under the surface. However the top is dry in some areas and damp in other areas. They are afraid to add any water to the dry areas because it will most likely turn into a mud pit. Most truck guys run Holeshot M3's or Red Taper Pins. If you are a Panther guy you will want the super soft compound in the rear. The buggy guys seem to run Square Fuzzie M3 of Red Taper Pins. Last night I had so much bite my truck was pushing on the infield but sliding coming on the streight. I was using Red 8 rows in the front and Holeshot M3's on the rear.

Chris- I'd be happy to join you to work on that stuff...but Pegasus doesn't usually get their track together until right before the race. If they get the track in by this weekend then I'm definitely down.
