Thanks for the props Dwayne! Still making them faster.....

I'll definitely bring a bunch of stockers and 19t's with me - I'll be slaving over the dyno to beef up my supplies this weekend.

There's a bunch up for grabs as prizes at the event as well.

See you guys at the race!

Just got back from the Canadian Asphalt Invitational in Edmonton. Had a lot of fun out there with the guys and really enjoyed the weekend. It's back to business now though.

The big update for this week is that the new T-Bang XS Type X motor should be ready next week. This is an EPIC X based motor which promises to be an extremely high-revving motor with more power than the older EPIC ROAR motors.

Pricing will be up on the site as soon as I can get everything updated.....

Great stock motors!! I used them at CAI with great results. No overheating, and no fade!

Thanks very much!

Right on. Thanks Dwayne. It was great to meet you guys out there, and I'm glad the motor ran strong for you. Don't hesitate to give me a shout if you have any questions!

Dear Stan,

Thanks for bringing Trent and all of his goodies out to the CAI. It's great to have a Canadian motor company and especially one that supports races and racers.

Race Director Buddha

P.S.Thank's Trent! I'll be looking to T-Bang for power in my 1/12 carpet car this winter.

Right on. Thanks Buddha. Stan and I had a great time, and we'll be back again for some more racing next summer.

We'll get that 12th scale flying for ya dude.....

Right on Chris. Glad to hear that they are working hard for ya.

Things are very busy in the land of T. Getting Type X stockers built right now as well as hammering out a proper on-line store. Want to have everything in a pile for the fall.

In case anyone hasn't heard, Overgeared just announced the 2006 Big Chill. Hopefully we'll see a lot of you guys there.

How are those X-type motors looking? I may need to try one out before the Big Chill.

Hey John,

They are looking very good - lots of mid/high power. The first batch is cut and assembled, but I am just deciding on brush/spring for them right now.

My plan is to test/debut them at the Kamloops trophy race this weekend and run my data logging on the car during the race weekend so that I have final data to make my tuning decisions.

Should be ready to roll out next week - I'll bring them out to the club race on the 24th.

Thanks man!

Could have been..... there were some black cans spotted in a couple of pits at the race.

The motor was very good. My driving was a bit suspect, however......

The good news is that Phil Cady from the IROCC club in Victoria piloted the other prototype X Stock into the A main and landed 6th overall with it:

6 Phil Cady 96/97/94 = 193

Definitely a competitive motor with the right driver behind it.

What I noticed at the race was that power delivery was notably smooth with the X, but you really needed to keep it rolling nicely to stay in the power band.

On the track in Kamloops, both Phil and I landed at approximately a 7.3 final drive ratio.

All in all, I'm feeling pretty confident that I learned enough about the motor running it for the weekend. Final tuning/specs are just about set and there is a batch that will be ready to ship as soon as I finish up the tweaks based on the lessons learned at the track.

On an unrelated note - new 4200's are going to be available around September 25. Anyone that was waiting for them - just fire me an e-mail and I'll set them aside for you. I will have a good initial order containing both 6 cell and 4 cell team and club packs. First come, first served!

Hey Trent,

I hear you are getting some cells with some pretty sweet numbers. Any idea when they will be showing up??

You bet dude. There's a batch getting here Monday or Tuesday with a bunch of 1.235v+ packs in it. Steve's 4200's are pretty deadly, and they're getting more and more bad-ass each order I put in. He's matching World Championship Edition IB4200's right now - I'll be putting in another order right away.

The bad news..... This batch is already sold!

More will be on there way ASAP.....
