Eric,
You put together a hell of a car and its an honor to put it on the track. I'm glad to represent Full Throttle and my other sponsors and your car makes me look good! If there is anything I can ever help with in regards to testing, PR, advertising, whatever don't hesitate to ask. Billie Bob will tell you I'm a team player and always willing to help!!! It's nice to see subtle changes or tweaks instead of yearly redesigns. GOOD STUFF!!!! Thanks for a killer ride....

Well I was feeling industrious today to I decided to work on my battery locater idea. I cut a U shaped bracket that fits around my 3800mah batteries snugly. Then I lined it up with the side battery stand off holes and drilled holes. Lastly I narrowed the piece until it fit properly in the chassis. The fiberglass is really narrow so I am concerned about breakage. But all it is really doing is preventing the cells from sliding side to side so I think it will hold. Now with the cells snugly in place I no longer need the foam under the top brace so I reduced the pressure between the chassis and the top plate I can't wait until the next race to try it out! 2 more weeks.

Another good weekend of parking lot racing. Took TQ with the MX2 but did not run the mains, RAINOUT!!!. My laptimes were about five tenths slower than last week, I think the cooler weather made the asphalt really slick. I could have ran 3-Cells and ran just as fast since I was never full trigger.

Any secrets for running the on slick surfaces? I had to resort to making my finger smoother.

My Xray T2 holds the corners well enough to drive off with a standing TQ in the first heat. The T2 really never lost footing on the asphalt, but with all the 1/12ths out there finding traction was like panning for gold. I was DNS with the T2 for the remainder of the day due to two seperate pre-race hot laps. First was a head on wreck with a wrong way driver, and second was with an 4" PVC "Y" that was being used and a coupling. Yes the Y was pointing into traffic, OUCH.

Hey guy's what's up? I just finished putting the car together today and ran a couple batteries in it and all I have to say is me likes. I was very impressed with it. It's very smooth. Now I have to rethink what classes i'm going to run in cleveland. I'm really looking foward to 1/12 scale this year now. Thanks

The car i ran was the current try out stuff car, a few differences that seem to help it out...however the stock idea wasn't one of my better...actually i belive i told Eric it was the "worst idea i had all year" just dont think i was prepared for it...this car will be really DIALED in for 19 turn...can't wait.

I should have a track to test on again in the next few weeks, so il be able to figure out some ideas then...all i can say is we have a great car cooking up...even though what we ran last year was pretty good...i think there is more hiden within!

Another good weekend on the tarmac. Ran my 27T MX2 agaist some CRC's. Track was slick till the RX for the Dr.Pepper was sprayed on.

Another TQ, 23 laps on both heats. (First heat track was really slick, 2nd heat pack dumpped (IB4200 and another dead cell) Won with 26 laps 5:11. Won the fastest car of the day title by 1/2 second which allowed me another lap over the Sedans running brushless and 6-cells. Fastest time for sedans was 5:01 25 Laps.

Hello fellow darksiders. This thread seems to be talking alot about 1/12th scale at the moment, But I have the 10th scale enemy slider and it worked great all last season at our local track, but this year I teamed up w/Bill from full throttle and he built me a killer motor, also the track got longer but tighter. So, now my car wants to hook real bad in the corners can someone help me out with what adjustments to make to help keep the car from hooking??

thanx

When are we going to see those updates that keep getting discussed? Saw pics of the new Speed Merchant car...I'm curious to run that front end on my Mx2.

I think we are just about done changing geomemtry, Eric just has to roll out a nicer looking version of our proto car, settle up a few loose ends, and it should be done.
