Scottrick - sounds like you need a good motor guy to get you up to speed!

Glad to hear you had a good time and did well to represent the "Darkside"

Turns out my motor guy (me) wasn't half-bad. My race engineer (also me) on the other hand was a miserable failure. Team Manager (me again) had to take the bull by the horns and make a more aggressive gearing decision so the driver (still me) could drill the barriers just that little bit harder. Two of us did ok, two of us were worthless as tits on a boar.

But we had a blast and plan to attend next year. If they'll have us.

Yeah, we (me) had to fire that useless bastard too.

The team mechanic (guess who) did OK, though, finally identifying why the car was progressively needing more shim on one side of the front than the other to sit level. I'd congratulate him (yep, me) if it hadn't taken him ALL SPRING AND SUMMER TO FIGURE IT OUT.

Ah well.

E--you have the IRS lower arms?

Are you talking about the big 2-day race in March (7-9) or our first club race? I guess Rick and Mark have been sharing info back and forth, Rick invited ya'll up to see how our set-up works, how the carpet is laid out, etc. Not for sure, but it's KINDA looking like the first race will be Oct. 21 and we may try to get the facility Oct. 20 for a test-n-tune day. That way you guys could get a couple days of carpet in.

Scottrick - I was talking about the October date. Drive up Friday evening, be there Saturday and return mid afternoon on Sunday.

This would be the tune up for Omaha, as we are looking to start racing in November.

Any short cuts or sugestions on routes would be appreciated.

I will see what we can do to get that Saturday as Rick and I discussed.

As far as route, it's Interstate all the way. You'll get on I-25 N to Sheridan where you'll catch I-90. Billings is where I-90 quits it's N-S run and turns back W.

We actually race Sunday (Sat would be test-n-tune). We wrap-up mid-afternoon which would get ya'll back to Ft Collins about 11pm if we had you in your car at 4.

Ok - Darkside does this work?? If we can pack small (yes I know this is really my issue) we might be able to borrow back my Mazda6, which is WAY quicker than the Stealth Van. Double the millage as well!!

Lets talk Sunday.

Scott - I really think this is going to work, thanks for the invite!!

Keep in mind that "Double the millage" would be bad, kinda like paying your school taxes or Fire Prevention District twice on your property taxes. Double MILEAGE, however, is a very good thing!!

Any possibility that some of your other "usual suspects" might be interested in making the trip?

ttyl,

See what I get for doing a quick e-mail between phone calls.

I'm not sure about others, I was thinking about making this a small learning process. But if you would like, I'll ask if others are interesed at our series race this Sunday.

Almost forgot to ask, how about 10 scale pan cars???
