This weekend is our Sedan Challenge. It looks like we will have around 20, 1/12th scales. Cait wait.
Are you coming Eric?
I'm not sure where his head is at ...... he is looking at racing at a new dirt oval here on the front range of Colorado. He almost has me talked into getting a car as well!!

Yea, that's true. I had really wanted to come out to the race this coming weekend, but I just couldn't located airfare for much under $500. That was just too much for me. I should have started looking/planning earlier. I still hope to get out there sometime this summer

While the in-line axles are much more aggressive steering, they tend to make a 1/12 car very difficult to drive. I think that it is more of a driveability issue. There are better ways to make a 1/12 car steer aggressively.

Darkside Mx2 is already for action. This weekend is the Sedan Challenge at Frederick, MD. BillyBob are you ready? I'm ready to show them what the Mx2 can do.

My non-diff side hub cracked where the adjustment screw is very soon after I got it. But it still worked fine so I didn't worry about it. Now that CRC has their version out I ordered one of those. So far I like it. It has a slightly different angle in the slot which gives the area around the adjustment screw a bit more meat. I haven't ran it yet though so I have yet to see how it does under race conditions.

He picked up a SWEEET deal on a slightly used, well set up CW Intimidator.

Hey guys--any idea what racing is coming up in July? Particularly interested in seeing the dirt oval in action. Do they have a regular schedule? I even know where Longmont is!

Turns out I may be down to Denver sometime around the second or third week in July to drive a disabled local racer down for some surgery and fly back.

Scott, The dirt track is to be up in the next week or two. They are to have racing on Saturday. Schedule and classes is a little up in the air. I'd like to see dirt oval Saturday afternoon / evening. For the on the road sereis, we will be at HT Westminster on Sunday July 22nd. This has been a good sereis, check out the site www.OnRoadColoraod.com

Also think about 1/12 scale in Omaha in October.

I know, pretty much for fact, that my trip south WON'T be over the weekend including July 22 (my 18th anniversary).

I'd LOVE to race at Omaha..Mitch Witteman was already petitioning us hard for that. Unfortunately I'll play hell justifying the classes I'd miss. I don't get ANY "fun" (grad) classes next fall...just 12 credits of 400-level mathematics.

Yuck.

I'll keep in touch as to when (if) I'll make it. Wouldn't mind hitting the 1:1 Speedway (Colorado National?) again.

Sorry the R/C does not work for the series, but they race every weekend. I'll even come play when you come into town.

As to the full sized roundy Round cars, let me know and I'm in. I've gone twice this year and always have a great time. So let me know what dates and I'll find out what the program is that evening.

Darkside - you in for some full size racing???
