The Torpedo tube assemblies are something like a quarter-inch shorter than the "standard" tubes. I am TRYING to finally get my torpedo tubes installed on my MX but I'm using longer hardware (the same DuBro 2-56 ball links for 4-40 rod I use for my tie rods) to get the pistons at the correct depth in the tubes.

Just an FYI, at some point late this summer, I'll be doing a new cross brace that will add a second set of holes closer together so that the new Gen-x style tubes will be able to be used with the chassis in their proper stock length.

Nice that everybody's sharing set-up info, I like to see it

I'm REALLY hoping BL isn't allowed as it really ends up making it hopeless for those intending to run "stock" in stock.

There are no 13.5 or any other brushless allowed or even another class for 1/12 scale. There will be a 13.5 brushless class as well as brushed stock class for Touring cars.

K--I hadn't looked at the "longer" pistons in the Gen-X tubes. I believe the pistons are the same diameter (one of the locals broke a piston for his Gen-X and cut two segments off a Carpet Knife piston), so who the heck knows. If I survive this week and make it to spring break I'll be installing the Gen-X tubes and maybe have some ideas/feedback. Until then (and probably even after) you're the expert!!

YEP!!

E - Darkside Car with a body done by Craig will be the car for the Carpet Classic T-Shirt. The side decals were left on it, but Justin removed the large decal on the back. he then put it back on.

I may need another Orange set. But I'll see.

Also Craig asked about Stormer carring the car!!!

Yup...in fact one of the locals already bought one from him. He's hoping to debut it this weekend at our club race to prepare it for the Duel in Denver next week!! Everybody prepare to welcome Racin' Rick as the newest member of the Cult of Darkside.

"Follower" ain't exactly something anybody in racing likes to be called...though it probably more accurately describes Rick and myself than, say, you!

Member of the club? Lets see what the Grand PooBah says.

I've always beleived in:

LEAD.......Follow......or get out of the way.

At times I've fit all of the above.

So how about "The Darksider's"

Eric...call the T-shirt guy. We'll have this slogan thing ironed out in a jiffy.

I've always been partial to some of the following:

"Lead, Follow, or OH, sorry that was my bumper.

Darkside Motorsports: We'll take you to the A-main, but we won't take American Express

Don't follow the herd, join the movement, come to the Darkside
