Honestly, either one is going to be a good motor. The atlas motors just seem to perform better for me. The C2 is a great motor none the less. Either one you choose, im sure you will be plenty happy with it.

Jo,
The C2 with xxx brushes would be the best bet for durabilty.
Just skim the comm every few (3-4) runs to keep it fresh.
Your comm will last longer with skimming it every few runs than having to take a lot off after a "bunch" of runs.
The brushes will last a very long time.
Just run it in for about 200 seconds at 2 volts after skimming the comm to reseat the brushes.

Wich brushes are use in the the Blueprinted CO27 and C2? Any of you use the XXX brushes? I race sedan and 1/12.

The XXX brushes are great in the C2. Like 1arm said...just skim the comm every 3 or 4 runs to keep it fresh. We found the XXX brushes will last a VERY long time as long as you keep the comm cleaned up.

Most Blueprinted motors will come with 767's or 4499's depending on Dyno results.

So far the CO27'S have gone out with 767'S

Hey Guys, What's the difference between the Z-zone and the Z-zone EVO30?

Does the Evo30 has the angled brush?

Zzone EVO = Laydown Brushes

Zzone EVO30 = Angled Brushes

I have been able to pull power out of either.

The EVO 30 Stock or 19t takes longer to break in the brushes to get them seated correctly

yes the Z-zone has laydown brush, and Z-zone evo30 has stand up I belive it also says it on the site too.

There both great motors just the difrent hood style

the EVO30 is a laid down angled brush

it has a 30 degree cut on it as the brush hoods have that angle...to me it would put more brush contact on the com...somewhat like a P94 style brush that is basically like a stand-up and lay-down all in one
