Gonna pick up a gen 2 17.5 to run blinky 1/12 scale. I will be running on a very small track 20x40ish and was wonder if I would be better off with the standard 17.5 or the rpm version?

Thanks

As you can tell from many other threads, ROAR is a bit busy at the moment. We hope to have approval notice as soon as it's available.

What are the bearing sizes for the new Gen 2 motors?

Never mind, found it on the web site.

Thanks,
Jim

Hi Randy,

Is there any reason why the motor will not be approved by ROAR?
What are you expecting the outcome to be?

Kind Regards.

ROAR put everything on hold. According to ROAR they tested the Gen 2 and it passed but the D3.5 didn't when comparing them.

Most likely they annoucement will be when they get their act to gather.

Guys ,
i have 2 little problems , hope you can help me with this , first i put HARA 17.5 SETUP ON my car and i run with REDLINE 13.5 MOTOR RS ESC , run with a 6.4 FDR in my car 108 spur / 32 pinion , but my motor after 10 minutes comes at 125 celsius , i know thats is too much temperature , and my motor didnt run again but i have some motor on my spares and i put a new Motor and Go for 7.1 FDR , 116 SPUR / 31 PINION on My XRAY T3 12 , it runs very strong in all 10 Minutes of The Main Final , i Win by 2 Laps , but the temperature when i finish Was 93 Celsius , so My Question is , i need To Go Higher on FDR like 8.00 , or what i need to re adjust on My ESC setup ? Thanks A lot !!!

I run with 5000 mAh 35c 2S 7.4V Lipo Battery , in an Large Asphalt Track , we need to reach 10 minutes in qualifiers and Final .

Thanks In Advance

@Adrean you're likely dumping your batter at 10 minutes. Boosted setups are battery hogs so unless you're rocking a 6000mah+ battery you're likely getting close to dumping your pack.

most tracks don't race 10 minute mains.

I'd reduce your fdr a bit but make sure you have a fan on the motor running that long of a race.

What would you recommend for a starting point for 17.5 open Speedo stadium truck? I have been running 18/81 boost 50, rpm 1600-17000 turbo 10 ramp 3 delay .02
