Can I use a RS Pro with a Gen2 17.5RPM motor?

Guys i have a question , the cooling fan for the motor , the air flow need to go direct on the motor or to the other side so they pulls the hot air to the back of the car ? Thanks !!!!!

Yes you can.

It's more efficient to have the fan blowing air directly on the motor. Most guys put the fan behind the motor facing forward blowing air from the rear of the car towards the front.

Are there any processor restrictions on the new Android app? I'm going to purchase a new tablet and the one I'm looking at has an Intel chip, not an ARM based processor. Is that going to be a problem?

No they don't. You'd be better off just selling the RSpro on here then buying the Gen2

1/8th nitro guy looking to get into electric touring car and i would like to know,
how come you're http://www.teamtekin.com/redline_gen2.html4.5t motor has more kv (9350 kv) then other companies 4.5t (7100-7950 kv).

Well I had something fun happen to me tonight during 1/18 short course truck racing. The capacitor on the FXR simply broke off in mid heat. Went from 2nd place to DNF.

I'm wondering something. Is the ESC damaged and can't be used now?

Kv is often different due to motor configuration and or testing standards.

The cap is there to keep the esc cool, it won't cause it to fail unless it shorted out between the posts. Did it?

Does the esc power up and work?

as far as I know, no shorts occurred. it was a clean break.


last night when I tested it after a speed fix, it powered up and the leds flashed the init pattern, but the motor did not emit any init tones. I will however solder a different capacitor on and try again.

edit: tried a different and larger capacitor, no difference. So I looked at the motor itself. And found the culprit. Guess I blew out the windings or the comm.
