Send a test proto type out to Jason Moberly so that way you can also test how it does in the heat. The Novak and LRP versions have had over heating issues that they are addressing. It get's pretty hot out here in Roseville during the summer. Just a little helpful suggestion. Good luck with the brushless and I look forward to seeing how it stacks up against the GTB. It was nice seeing you at the nats and maybe I'll see you at the Vegas race.

Jason has been doing some heavy mod testing for us in the California heat. Based on that testing we are now requiring a battery cap when using modified motors.
The recent increase in power available with today’s batteries and motors is incredible. When using a modified brushed motor with the Tekin speed controllers you need to use a large capacitor across the battery voltage. Something like a 2700uf or 4700uf 10v to 25v caps will work well. The cap should be mounted between the +bat and –bat post on the speedo with as short of leads as possible for maximum effect. DO NOT USE the wires that come on some caps. A few inches of wire reduces the effectiveness of the cap significantly. We will be offering our own cap soon.
We do not think the addition of a motor diode is necessary at this point. Our flyback circuit is so much more efficient that adding a motor diode really does little since the power will still take the path of least resistance… But it does not hurt to have. Use at least a 36amp diode module or parallel at least 4 of the typical 8amp axial lead diodes that have been around for many years. Again we will be offering a good motor diode solution from Tekin soon.
The next few years will be crazy as we make use of all this new power. Should be a lot of fun. Stick with us and we will give you what you need to handle it and still have that Tekin smooth feel.

Jim,
After our phone conversation the other day we've done just what you have suggested and everything seems to be working great. Firday we droped in our 7 singles and ripped up the track. Also we will be looking forward to getting Tekin's new servo when it comes available.

For the last week much of team Tekin have been out of the office at the ROAR mod nats. They should be getting back to buisness at the office as we speak. I dont know when you sent your emails but they are very good about their customer service.
Where your emails sent in the last week?
No worries mate Tekin will do you right.

I too have just upgraded to H31 software,it was a very fast process even despite me sending it to them by surface mail
(never again though!)
It charges my GP3700/4300s very well
And my newly installed G11Pro is giving my motors a good workout, but not abusing the commutators or their brushes. Good work Tekin, keep it up
