Default Cycling packs

I cycle my packs when a big race is coming up to find my best pack. my problem is that im unsure if im hurting the cells.
Normally after a run i discharge the pack at 30amps to 5.4v on my trusty old tekin dis 350.
when i cycle i charge at 5.4 the discharge at 30amps to 5.4v. is the high amp rating hurting the cells, am i better of discharging at a lower amps? it seems a wasted cycle that all.
I race modifed and i feel that the higher amps give the batteries a feeling of "being used" to get them use to being discharged so high.

Any help appreciated.
