Default question for experienced smc battery guy!

hi.

i have stock nimh3000 matched cells, not hv's. i own a mrc superbrain959 charger.

so,

is it safe to charge my cells at the plug & play setting? and will i damage my cells if i do use that setting? also, how imperative is it that i discharge... will my batteries just go kaput?

thank you in advance... sorry for my sophmoric questions!

I'm not sure what peak detect is setup in your charger. I would ask the MRC what peak detect is used in that charger. If it's .05 or lower than it will work fine.

I would discharge the pack down to 5.4 or when your car stops. Let it rest a few hours and you can then run it again.
