What kit you planning to order? Is it not available in Singapore?
So far I don't have any problem ordering stuffs from them.

Usually, It take 5 working days by Registered Air Mail and 3 working days By EMS.

But. just some advice:
1. If you are ordering a kit that is not available in Sg, so that means there's no part support in Sg too?

2. If you planing to order b'cos it's cheaper. Well, just to let you know, for RC mart, there are some other charges like bank charges etc when you check out. And pls check the version of the kit you are ordering. Eg. The latest model is a 2006 version, but you may be ordering and getting a 2003 version.

Well, I have came across some drivers that order kits from overseas.......some of them are beginners.....so when they order the kit, they thought it's cheaper. But in actual fact, they are ordering a very old version but they didn't know there are different version for it. And another case is, they can't find any spare parts for it in Sg.

Personally, I rather spend a little more in Sg but I'll get support for it.
I only go online to order accessories that are not available in Sg.
Just my 2 cent

I often order parts and other items from rcmart. no problem so far.

While I generally agree that if you order from HK, there is little
parts support in SG. But, since you ate getting from HK, you should
be able to get parts support from HK anyway.

Yes, you can get parts from HK, so if you lost a drive cup, broke a arm, you have to go online to order and wait for a few day, provided they have stock.

Wouldn't it be better you can just walk into a LHS to get it.

Just my 2 cents.

try stellamodels... they've it and shipping is just as fast as rcmart, i've tried both of them for tanks parts, both the leopard and tiger... they're great, chances are you won't need spare parts for these babies, just hopups and optional items from oversea anyway... so go for it

here's click here for stellamodels...

and if you're looking for unique and some rare hopups for tanks..
you can look to tankzone

hello...

i know this topic is more or less closed. but i just want to share my views...
i used to buy kits from overseas, but then find out that it's not worth your money or effort if you find that there's no parts support in your local area. (like what Nipple said)...

You end up need to order parts from them too, and it would mean more and more shipping costs spent...

well here i pasted something i posted somewhere in the forum before, regarding the same issue...

ps. i even heard about someone bought a servo from HK (not online), sealed, but when it reached here it's not working.

------------------

based on experience, unless you buy the items in bulk.

1. not buying from LHS will incur additional charges, ie.shipping & handling cost, which in the end by the time your item reach your doorstep, it will be a few dollars cheaper. like i said, unless you buy in bulk or you are actually travelling there, hence no shipping cost involved.

2. the risk, i've heard about things missing, not shipped, etc. some risks are not worth taking, esp with the small difference

3. things will get worse once you get a defective product shipped to you. you might want to send it back, and of course, from your own pocket.

4. buying from LHS sometimes will be beneficial because they give you support and sometimes more discount.

however, i still buy parts and other stuff from mail order/overseas sometimes. The only reason i'm doing that is because LHS does not support the product.
