Pictures and Results
Round 1 of The Onroad Championship Series was successfully staged yesterday.
In the 13.5T Non-Boost 2WD Mini Class, Tony Neo was the runaway winner after he captured the first 2 legs of the A-main. Finishing 2nd was Chhua Joo Kiah, while Max Neo captured the last step on the podium.
In the 13.5T Non-Boost Touring Car Class, it was a close battle all the way to the 3rd leg of the A-Main. Jonathan Chia took the win in Leg 1, while Ng Wei Jian won Leg 2. In Leg 3, it was the other Ng sibling, Wei Quan who took the win. Wei Jian finished 2nd and with it, wrapped up the overall win. Wei Quan finished 2nd, while Jonathan ended in 3rd.
In the 13.T Open Touring Car Class, the top 3 cars battled hard in all 3 legs. Nicholas Lee had a comfortable Leg 1 win. Esmail Apandi stormed back to capture Leg 2, setting up a Leg 3 showdown. Starting from pole, Esmail held on to his lead from the start of Leg 3 and managed to hold off Nicholas throughout what was an exciting and entertaining 5-minute final.
