1/8 Nitro Buggy

Hi guys, is this class still popular locally?

Is there a proper track to run 1/8 offroad?

japong 04-22-2015 10:18 AM

Bashing and casual play is still fun for 1/8 buggy as it is durable and quick. No quorum race unless you go to jb.

For 1/8 buggy, you can play nitro at diot aka defu lane in paya lebar..

there is another track in segar, but only electric are allowed.

If you want to race, you can go to jb. Hope it helps.

Thanks japong!

For a newbiw, which buggy brand or hobbyshop would offer most support locally? As in getting good parts availability and getting help on tuning & setups etc.

It Depends on your budget and whether you like to go for rtr buggy (popular brand: hobao) , cost around 500-800 for the complete set or go for a higher end model kit like kyosho or mugen, xray which is more expensive which will cost you around 1,500sgd for the complete car.

Hobao buggy have good parts support, cheap parts and durable. You can check aunti winnie in orchard, swan hobby shop near sommerset mrt. check the hobbyshop directory thread.

Thanks.

Ended up buying the XB8 2015 and D815. Both cars should be easy to build and maintain. Will be fun!
