RCMC is proud to present our annual Singapore Open Challenge.
ORGANISER: Singapore Marine Parade RCMC
VENUE: EAST COAST PARK RACEWAY
DATE: 9 & 10 May 2015
TIME: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
FEES:
1/8 and 1/10 Single class:
SGD $ 70 (RCMC Members and overseas guests)
SGD $ 100 (Non Members)
1/8 and 1/10 Two classes:
SGD $ 120 (RCMC Members and overseas guests)
SGD $ 160 (Non Members)
GT class – Note: Direct mains, maximum 30 entries
SGD $ 50 (RCMC Members and overseas guests)
SGD $ 70 (Non Members)
If GT is your second or third class you will pay the amount for single or double class plus $50.
Race entry fees include 1 lunch & 1 bottled drink, for both days.
Layout:
All classes will run Layout A aka Big Layout.
RULES & REGULATIONS:
1/8th Class; Open to All brands and makes of 1/8th Scale; Engine:3.5cc 2 stoke engine; Tank: 125cc; General IFMAR rules applied; Open tires and treatment.
The following will be checked on winning cars.
1) Minimum car weight without fuel: 2450 grams including transponder, tires and body
2) INS box must be used
3) Fuel tank
1/10th 200mm Touring Class; Open to All brands and makes of 1/10th Scale; Engine:2.11cc 2 stoke engine; Tank: 75cc; General IFMAR rules applied; Open tires and treatment.
The following will be checked on winning cars.
1) Minimum car weight without fuel: 1650 grams including transponder, tires and body
2) INS box must be used
3) Legal pipe only -- max diameter for exhaust opening of 5.2mm or less.
Total combined entries for 1/8th and 1/10th classes shall not exceed 100.
1/8 GT Class; Open to All brands and makes of 1/8 GT; Engine:3.5cc 2 stoke engine; Tank: 150cc; Open tires and treatment.
The above will be checked on winning cars. Rubber tires only.
Total combined entries for 1/8 GT shall not exceed 30.
CLOSING DATE:
Friday, 4 May 2015 at noon (12:00pm), or when registration is FULL, whichever comes first. Payment must be received by this date. All entries or payments after this date will be charged an additional $50 late fee.
PAYMENT:
Payment by Paypal is preferred. Join/log in to Paypal and select "Send Money" and send your race fee to email:[email protected] (the RCMC will absorb any Paypal transaction fees).
Payment may also be made in cash to one of the following reps:

Race Format:
There will be 1 round of Control Practice, the best lap will be taken for seeding for the Qualification rounds. Drivers will have 3 minutes in their respective groups to do their best lap.
Drivers are to take note of their qualifying group after control practice. No more re-seeding will be done.
Qualification will be based on the best of 3 rounds.
Main Finals will be 45 minutes in duration. All other sub-finals shall be 20 minutes in duration, weather permitting.
TQ for 1/8th and 1/10th Class will sit out for the finals and will be allocated 20 minutes for practice, weather permitting.
GT class will have direct finals. All other finals will follow a Christmas Tree format. Each sub-final will have 10 to 12 drivers. Depending on the number of drivers in each class, sub-tree finals may vary from 1/32 finals to semi-finals.
The top three finishing positions in each sub-tree final will progress to the next sub-tree final.
The lap count and times of the top three (3) finishing positions from Semi A and Semi B sub-tree finals shall be sorted for the top 2nd to 7th qualifying positions in the Main Final. The 8th, 9th and 10th qualifying position in the Main Final shall be the best of the remaining finalists from the Semi A and Semi B sub tree finals.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Singapore is a tropical country with hot, humid, and frequently wet weather. The race schedule will be adjusted to accommodate the weather as necessary.
Marshalls will be provided from the 6th to 10th of May.
Arrival before 8:00am is necessary. Event will start at 8:00am on both days. A preliminary race schedule is attached and will be updated after the closing date.
There is very little food and drinks available near the race track. Fast food delivery is available.
Electricity is limited. We encourage participants bring their own power extensions and power supply converters (for tire truers).

Race Format:
There will be 1 round of Control Practice, the best lap will be taken for seeding for the Qualification rounds. Drivers will have 3 minutes in their respective groups to do their best lap.
Drivers are to take note of their qualifying group after control practice. No more re-seeding will be done.
Qualification will be based on the best of 3 rounds.
Main Finals will be 45 minutes in duration. All other sub-finals shall be 20 minutes in duration, weather permitting.
TQ for 1/8th and 1/10th Class will sit out for the finals and will be allocated 20 minutes for practice, weather permitting.
GT class will have direct finals. All other finals will follow a Christmas Tree format. Each sub-final will have 10 to 12 drivers. Depending on the number of drivers in each class, sub-tree finals may vary from 1/32 finals to semi-finals.

Race Format:
There will be 1 round of Control Practice, the best lap will be taken for seeding for the Qualification rounds. Drivers will have 3 minutes in their respective groups to do their best lap.
Drivers are to take note of their qualifying group after control practice. No more re-seeding will be done.
Qualification will be based on the best of 3 rounds.
Main Finals will be 45 minutes in duration. All other sub-finals shall be 20 minutes in duration, weather permitting.
TQ for 1/8th and 1/10th Class will sit out for the finals and will be allocated 20 minutes for practice, weather permitting.
GT class will have direct finals. All other finals will follow a Christmas Tree format. Each sub-final will have 10 to 12 drivers. Depending on the number of drivers in each class, sub-tree finals may vary from 1/32 finals to semi-finals.
The top three finishing positions in each sub-tree final will progress to the next sub-tree final.
The lap count and times of the top three (3) finishing positions from Semi A and Semi B sub-tree finals shall be sorted for the top 2nd to 7th qualifying positions in the Main Final. The 8th, 9th and 10th qualifying position in the Main Final shall be the best of the remaining finalists from the Semi A and Semi B sub tree finals.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Singapore is a tropical country with hot, humid, and frequently wet weather. The race schedule will be adjusted to ACCOMMODATE THE weather as necessary.
Marshalls will be provided from the 6th to 10th of May.
Arrival before 8:00am is necessary. Event will start at 8:00am on both days. A preliminary race schedule is attached and will be updated after the closing date.
There is very little food and drinks available near the race track. Fast food delivery is available.
Electricity is limited. We encourage participants bring their own power extensions and power supply converters (for tire truers).

Race Format:
There will be 1 round of Control Practice, the best lap will be taken for seeding for the Qualification rounds. Drivers will have 3 minutes in their respective groups to do their best lap.
Drivers are to take note of their qualifying group after control practice. No more re-seeding will be done.
Qualification will be based on the best of 3 rounds.
Main Finals will be 45 minutes in duration. All other sub-finals shall be 20 minutes in duration, weather permitting.
TQ for 1/8th and 1/10th Class will sit out for the finals and will be allocated 20 minutes for practice, weather permitting.
GT class will have direct finals. All other finals will follow a Christmas Tree format. Each sub-final will have 10 to 12 drivers. Depending on the number of drivers in each class, sub-tree finals may vary from 1/32 finals to semi-finals.
The top three finishing positions in each sub-tree final will progress to the next sub-tree final.
The lap count and times of the top three (3) finishing positions from Semi A and Semi B sub-tree finals shall be sorted for the top 2nd to 7th qualifying positions in the Main Final. The 8th, 9th and 10th qualifying position in the Main Final shall be the best of the remaining finalists from the Semi A and Semi B sub tree finals.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Singapore is a tropical country with hot, humid, and frequently wet weather. The race schedule will be adjusted to ACCOMMODATE THE weather as necessary.
Marshalls will be provided from the 6th to 10th of May.
Arrival before 8:00am is necessary. Event will start at 8:00am on both days. A preliminary race schedule is attached and will be updated after the closing date.
There is very little food and drinks available near the race track. Fast food delivery is available.
Electricity is limited. We encourage participants bring their own power extensions and power supply converters (for tire truers).

Race Format:
There will be 1 round of Control Practice, the best lap will be taken for seeding for the Qualification rounds. Drivers will have 3 minutes in their respective groups to do their best lap.
Drivers are to take note of their qualifying group after control practice. No more re-seeding will be done.
Qualification will be based on the best of 3 rounds.
Main Finals will be 45 minutes in duration. All other sub-finals shall be 20 minutes in duration, weather permitting.
TQ for 1/8th and 1/10th Class will sit out for the finals and will be allocated 20 minutes for practice, weather permitting.
GT class will have direct finals. All other finals will follow a Christmas Tree format. Each sub-final will have 10 to 12 drivers. Depending on the number of drivers in each class, sub-tree finals may vary from 1/32 finals to semi-finals.
The top three finishing positions in each sub-tree final will progress to the next sub-tree final.
The lap count and times of the top three (3) finishing positions from Semi A and Semi B sub-tree finals shall be sorted for the top 2nd to 7th qualifying positions in the Main Final. The 8th, 9th and 10th qualifying position in the Main Final shall be the best of the remaining finalists from the Semi A and Semi B sub tree finals.

There is very little food and drinks available near the race track. Fast food delivery is available.
Electricity is limited. We encourage participants bring their own power extensions and power supply converters (for tire truers).

Race Format:
There will be 1 round of Control Practice, the best lap will be taken for seeding for the Qualification rounds. Drivers will have 3 minutes in their respective groups to do their best lap.
Drivers are to take note of their qualifying group after control practice. No more re-seeding will be done.
Qualification will be based on the best of 3 rounds.
Main Finals will be 45 minutes in duration. All other sub-finals shall be 20 minutes in duration, weather permitting.
TQ for 1/8th and 1/10th Class will sit out for the finals and will be allocated 20 minutes for practice, weather permitting.
GT class will have direct finals. All other finals will follow a Christmas Tree format. Each sub-final will have 10 to 12 drivers. Depending on the number of drivers in each class, sub-tree finals may vary from 1/32 finals to semi-finals.
The top three finishing positions in each sub-tree final will progress to the next sub-tree final.
The lap count and times of the top three (3) finishing positions from Semi A and Semi B sub-tree finals shall be sorted for the top 2nd to 7th qualifying positions in the Main Final. GT class will have direct finals. All other finals will follow a Christmas Tree format. Each sub-final will have 10 to 12 drivers. Depending on the number of drivers in each class, sub-tree finals may vary from 1/32 finals to semi-finals.
The top three finishing positions in each sub-tree final will progress to the next sub-tree final.
The lap count and times of the top three (3) finishing positions from Semi A and Semi B sub-tree finals shall be sorted for the top 2nd to 7th qualifying positions in the Main Final. The 8th, 9th and 10th qualifying position in the Main Final shall be the best of the remaining finalists from the Semi A and Semi B sub tree finals.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Singapore is a tropical country with hot, humid, and frequently wet weather. The race schedule will be adjusted to ACCOMMODATE THE weather as necessary.
Marshalls will be provided from the 6th to 10th of May.
Arrival before 8:00am is necessary. Event will start at 8:00am on both days. A preliminary race schedule is attached and will be updated after the closing date.
There is very little food and drinks available near the race track. Fast food delivery is available.
Electricity is limited. We encourage participants bring their own power extensions and power supply converters (for tire truers).
