Brushless Motors
#1

Hi Guys,
Thinking of investing in this new technology, but wanted to get your views first.
What brands are available (and recommended) in SG and what is the ball park costs to get started.
Your views and comments would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I thot there's already a thread for this?
anyway, pricing around 600 bucks motor plus ESC.
Brand maybe LMT, Hacker. Check it out at Sam's and Singahobby.
BTW, you might want to lookup the brushless thread first for more info...
did you get the vinyl printing for your decals?

Cheers.
p/s - Got those vinyl stickers printed. You may have seen our cars at the races, we are the ones with the "TORC RACING" logos all over our cars.

I just got the BL setup from Sam's shop recently. I must use the word SPLENDID to express my satisfaction with the performance & runtime. When geared correctly & the correct program selection in the controller, it punched like Mike Tyson & speeded like the road-runner in the cartoon character. It may sound like a heavy sum at the initial point of purchase. But if one could afford it, the return will be satisfaction & smiles. Hey, I felt that I was walking faster than usual when carrying the BL device in my hand along Scotts Road on the way home. Cheers!
Oh, just for clarification. I am not a part-time salesman of Hobbylink. Cheers again!!!

Thanks doctor J.
I actually purchased a brushless set up from Sam's yesterday and will be keen to get everything in the car for a trial this weekend at MS. I'm certainly encouraged by your comments.
I'm a novice when it comes to modified motors and the maintenance and care those types of motors demand are daunting for me. That's the main reason why I decided to go brushless.
Will you be racing at EXPO?

Yes sir, I shall be participating in the Expo Race. I believe it will be fun & entertaining for all who play or watch. If the track layout is going to be indentical to the Sepang track, it should consist of 2 long straight with an unforgiving U-turn in between.
Hey, I will be at MS this weekend. maybe we shall join one another for further testing. Cheers!
