Hi Shrimpy...

Choice of esc and motor combo is a very personal opnion. I personally feel that a brushed motor is the best choice in terms of maintainence and relaibility in mud and water... I'm currently using a 35T HH crawlwer motor, if you are on a skinny budget normal silver cans motors would also work it's magic... For esc, you may also want to get a waterproof model.. Else you could get any other esc and do the waterproofing yourself (youtube has many videos on how you could do it, I do mine with corrosionX)

You may also want to think about waterproofing ur rx as well as ur servo... Once ur whole rig is waterproof you could just run the car under the shower head to wash..

If you need more information pls drop me a pm and I'll be more than happy to help u out...

All brushed motor can take some water. Just spray WD40 after playing to displace any water inside. ESC better be waterproofed.

Important to put receiver in a receiver case. But you are really serious about waterproofing your car, check out this tutorial in YouTube by Dj Medic of RC adventures. Search "waterproofing RC"
