RCMC General News and Announcements
#1

Please be advised that the LTA has received public feedback/complaints about cars parked along the road outside the RCMC track on weekdays. It is likely that the LTA will be checking and issuing summons for weekday parking on the road outside of the track.
The RCMC has a temporary parking permit allowing roadside parking only on Sat and Sun, 10am to 5pm, and only when the regular public carpark is full.
Please do not park on the service road on weekdays. Please park at the public carpark off of the service road.
On weekends, the LTA has advised us to also park at the public carpark, and to only park on the service road when the public carpark is full.

Hi,
I think I understand why the committee has introduced the new payment options for races.
However, it would be good if more information could be given as regards to how the committee will be treating race cancellations.
If I pay in advance, and the race is cancelled due to the weather, what action(s) will the committee then take?
Or... If I pay in advance, and due to a heavy downpour the night before, and many who signed up do not turn up for the race thus leaving only a handful of diehard enthusiasts who turns up on race day... what happens?
Thanks.
Sam

The main reason we have introduced this payment scheme is to simplify the organization and execution for the members who volunteer to run the race. We want members to plan and pay ahead of the race.
Regarding rain, it happens.
If it rains and registered racers cannot run one heat--the race fee will be carried forward to the next race or the following race (maximum 2 race carry forward, regardless of series or club race). In other words, after all groups have run one heat, there are no refunds for rain.
If the race has to be rescheduled (e.g. due to service road closure), or is not confirmed due to the minimum attendance not being met, all race fees paid will be carried forward to the next race or the following race (maximum 2 race carry forward, regardless of series or club race).
If the race is confirmed and fewer than 20 racers show up, we will still race. All registered racers as of the deadline have committed to attending or paying their race entry fee regardless of actual attendance.
