IFMAR 8th scale GP @ Keitune Track, Chiba, Japan
To all members,
Please do indicate your interest to participate in the above mentioned event by the 30th June 2013, so that we are able to submit your names.
Do note that you would have to had participated in the 8th scale National Series held in 2012 in order to qualify. Priority will be given to highest standing position of the series and any other will be under the decision from RCMC EXCO team.

Update
Dear Members,
The RCMC EXCO would like to give all members a quick update regarding races and track renewal.
1. Series 6 on 25 Aug 2013 has been posted for signup on RCTECH. All classes will run the large layout in preparation for the Singapore Open.
2. The Singapore Open (also Series 7) will be held as scheduled on 7 & 8 Sept 2013. Both classes will run the large layout. Registration will be open on RCTECH in the next day or two.
3. Track renewal is approved, funded and in process. Unfortunately the tender awarding process is taking longer than we hoped for. All track drainage and resurfacing work will now take place after the Singapore Open.
4. We are considering layout changes/alterations and controlled tire races for 2014.
Many members, volunteers and hobby shops have been generous with time and money and we thank you for your continued support of the club!

RCMC 2013 GP Series Standings as of Race 5
Attached are the National Standings as of Series Race #5 for 1/8 and 1/10. Results are calculated on the best of 5 results.
The series is still wide open! If you want to do better – show up and race. Remaining National Series races in 2013 are:
Series 6 – 25 Aug
Series 7 – 7 & 8 Sep (Singapore Open)

RCMC track closure starting 23 Sep 2013 -- for approx. 1 month
Dear members,
We are close to awarding the contract for the track renovation project. This project will take approximately one month and includes the installation of a new drainage system, track resurfacing and grading, as well as other small improvements.
As of today, the planned project start date is Monday 23 Sep 2013. This means the track will be closed starting Monday 23 Sep 2013. Please take note.
We are hopeful that we be able to hold our RCMC National Series Race 8 as scheduled on Sunday 27 Oct 2013 on the new and improved track - TBC.

During the Singapore Open 2013 three incidents were reported.
1. One driver was caught driving for another. Both were disqualified.
2. There was an accusation of a driver using an illegally modified INS box which was not looked into properly.
3. There was an accusation of a driver driving in a heat he was not supposed to which was not looked into properly.
In order to do better and improve in the future we will have a paper complaint form which when completed by a member, with a $10 deposit and submitted within 30 minutes of the infringement will be investigated by the Race Director with feedback given by the end of the race day.
