Lubrication percentages in nitro fuels

Hi, I'd like to ask a question about lubrication percentages in car fuels. Is it true that better lubricants can compensate for a lower lubricant percentage in nitro engines? Cos I'm quite surprised that Byron car fuels(the type sold by winnie) has only 12 percent lubrication(60:40 syn to castor) which is quite way below the recommended percentage set by most engine manufacturers(at least 18%).

think this has been discussed before .. but nevermind ..

huasze - in the local market, don't think you can find any fuel with > 15% lubricant content!! in any case, most manufacturers keep the lubricant content a secret.

check out www.twf8.ws for more info on lubricant in fuel.

thx, wyl. i did a search and found the post you were referring to. its strange though why the fuel content is so low here in singapore. i got my picco 12 from winnie, and the fuel too, so i figure they should work properly and according to the website, its 10-12% for picco engines. but at tower hobbies the specs say 18 percent still.
