Thanks guys.

Actually I find getting 2nd hand at $500 even tougher, since it looks as if anyone who owns 1 of these trucks tends to hop her up.

My Tx freq doesn't have a land based receiver. That's why I asked about using a air receiver.

I am not too concern about the package getting to Singapore.. but more concern towards getting from the customs to my home. I did lost some mail..

Do I have to pay GST when I order from tower?

Well, for a sub 500 truck, i think you can get a Hyper 7, then mod it to become a dominator. (A dom rtr cost arnd 700, Hyper 7 buggy is only 450 @ winnie)
Second hand at 500 is abit impossible unless the owner got really bored or fed up with his monster truck, or else it's pretty a needle in a haystack.

Apparently air Rx do suffer from glitches when used on surface.

Anyway, if you're getting the T-Maxx, radio is included, so there's no issue.

I haven't actually decide if I really want to go get a T-maxx. Very tempting though. Original intention was a SSK... and the budget just keep getting upped....

I was once a heli flyer too. . . I had a Shuttle Z back about a year ago. I still got my FF6 with me....
MT is certainly too fun to let go. Little maintainace, big time of fun, especially you got one bunch of kaki to bash around with.

Problem with the SSK is that the parts tend to break easily, esp around the front arm. My friend owned one before and it could not take the high jumping and bashing we were giving to our 1/8 trucks.

Hahaha, issit? What's your nick in DH?

IMO, if you really want a MT, get a BAD one from the beginning. You'll lose steam with the wimps very soon.

Hehe.. there is a used Dominitator and a used SS for sale.

But acutally I think I might still settle on a nitro Rustler instead... just kind of find MT too big.. and leaning towards ST instead.

ST is pretty small. I've a similar stadium truck but 4WD from HPI, the RS4-MT. It's fast, it handles very well but it sure can't handle rocky terrain.

The pillow ball is 5mm in diameter. I swapped the orginal with the HoBao 1/8 buggy pillow balls and ball ends.
The Maxx uses mm hex hardware throughout. I removed the old philips screws and replaced them with hex hardware. 3X15 Cap Hex screws work best and 3X15 countersunk hex hardware.

Already say "Hi" to u at DH..

I think I go check out the field that I will play... and measure the sizes of the stones there first. That will then decide on Rustler or Tmaxx.

Thanks.
