I never forgot about mine. I just played this week at my house downstairs. . .
I increased the 2 gear ratio and dropped the first gear....

2nd gear:spur 38T pinion 18t
1st gear: spur 43T pinion 13t

I found out that getting the gear stuck in 2nd will deliver more smoother power response. Though lack in low end power, but gear the 2nd gear down, it will perform better in corners. That was when my 2nd gear was 40T and pinion was 16T.
