You can get yokomo kits and almost all yokomo parts and hop-ups from Kasey.

http://www.geocities.com/kaseylow/rchs-home.htm

He's reliable, gives good support and does free delivery.

Last heard, simlim square hobby shop boss bringing in yokomo pros.

Not many people run yoks as the parts are not readily found.

most people prefer and run the V1R /RR
many people run mugen mtx2/pro
Small amount of people run serpent impluse /Pro
A handful of people run yokomos/ofnar/hong bao and blar blar.

so experience wise, i think if V1r got problem, many people will know how to solve it. Mugen might have a old design but its proven (look at the last PA race) the serpents are odd cars but have great dedicated support from its local distributer.

yokomo should be up and coming

hope you make the right choice.

i run a pro pet snake

pull start engine?...ok

not many cars can fit the pull start.

maybe a V-1 S or the hong bao. winnie got many parts for it too.

Great car for running around with out all the tuning required. or buy the tamiya nitro cars which are bullet proof and its a pull start too, mover over can join tamiya nitro race.

Saw a shop along north bridge road way before Tai Seng, seems to sell Yokomo kit, not sure if they carry yokomo parts. Good Luck!

Default MR4 Special

Hi,

Other than the MR4 Special, are there any other pro Yokomos that are still well supported (in terms of spares) by shops like Winnie's?

Think it is wise to buy "vintage" models like the YR4M2 or YR4II-SP?
