Default Power Supply - Question Re Ratings

Hi,

Hope someone can help a techinically-challenged person...

I have a power supply with the following specs:

DC Output: +12V, 20A (2 Independent Supply Channels)
Power: 180W

The supply is currently powering 2 chargers with the following specs:

Operating Voltage Range: DC 11.0 ~ 18.0 Volt
Circuit Power: Max charge power 50W / Max discharge power 5W

I am contemplating getting a 3rd charger with the following specs:

Input voltage range : 10.0 – 18.0VDC
Charge current range : 0.05 – 10.0A
Discharge current range : 0.05 – 7.0A
Maximum charge power capacity : 250W @ input voltage > 13.5V
Maximum discharge power capacity : 20W
Maximum extern discharge power capacity : 170W @ 20V/7A

The question I have is whether my current power supply has enough 'juice' to power all 3 chargers.

If no... can someone let me know the specs of the power supply I should be buying if I want it to power all 3 chargers... and if possible, where in Singapore I can buy it.

Thanks in advance for the help... kopi on me

Just trying to help out with my limited knowledge...

your current 2 charger takes a total of maximum 100W. in theory it should be 74W... (Watts = Amps x Volts)

your newer charger has a maximum of 250W, for using to charge Lipo 2S at 10A , you probably use around 74W... (Watts = Amps x Volts)

total consumption +-148W, your power supply is 180W...

it should be enough for you..... try it out... if your power supply get really hot... time for a upgrade....

you can get higher rating power supply at sim lim tower...

A 5000mah 2s pack charging at 1C will draw a max of about 42watts. (8.4v x 5amps)
Your PSU will support the 3rd charger as it will not draw 250w even it if can.

High wattage charger is for higher cell counts and charge rates.
A 6s 6000mah pack will draw a max of more than 150w.

hopefully, your charger do not have the amp protector..
if you charging using one charger and only charge one batt.
the amp output will be too much for the charger to withstand

i would think its better to use one DC supply for one charger...
or the most 2 but not 3..

If I am not wrong, try not to on the 3 chargers all at the same time, it will trip if the initial current draw is too high, hope ur power supply cable fuse has enough rating for the 3 chargers (usually 13A). If not the fuse will blow.
