Hey Vifer, save the cost of changing a brand new differential man... Times are bad. Open up the old and dirty one, clean it up and reuse! Whahahaa...

I guess I will be cleaning up and refilling it for now. Just want to setup the car properly so I can play with ease in mind.

What's the advantages?

BTW, what's the recommanded silicone oil rating for the diff unit?
I read someone's posting about 50k and 30k, another posted 30k and 5k respectively in front and rear units.

Finally...anyone using the active differential unit from Team Kyosho (Blue casing) or
Kuwahara (Silver with internal clutch system)

Need replacement on my unit coz the rear had almost dried up from leaking.
i think the other posting abt the 30k rear and 50k front u r refering to is my brother's.
now both our cars are running this setup(as recommended by those old birds at ms)
the setup seems fine to me...

Default diff oil

I dumped in 30k and 5k respectively last Saturday and tested on the track yesterday. Not bad, can turn more properly now. Just need to get the suspension to setup properly. After putting on the rear sway bar, the car kept flipping at high speed sharp corner.

Using trinity 90wt wif hard spring in the front and 50wt wif med spring in the rear shocks.

Front 0 camber wif 1 deg toe-in
Rear -2 camber wif 1 deg toe-in

Planning to change the rear sic oil to 90wt too.

Any suggestion?

If there's no last minute appointment, I guess I will be at MS abt 2pm.

BTW, I will be doing some setting and fine tuning tomorrow(Friday) at MS too. Drop by if you are free. I should be there around 2pm. Trying hard to solve the flipping problem.

Thanks for the clearing up. I had tested my car setup yesterday just before heaven decided to drop some cats and dogs. My car can smoothly slide into corners and power out now. No more flipping. I guess my car won't be named "Flipper" again.

Default Marina South

I was at MS just now. Arrived at about 3.40pm. It started rainning just as I started my engine. I am the one with one arm in sling. Hogging the track with my slow yellow stratus. I sat with the group of friendly "uncles".

How do I recognise the rest of you? Tried looking out for a two coloured skyline but to no avail.

Salute to those lao jiaos who helped drying the track today.
