Some time ago someone posted some pix of Jap guys building custom "mini" cars from their Tamiya EvoIII and 414 etc.

Have look & look & look, cannot find those post anymore.


Anyone have a copy of those pic on your hdd?

i just chopped off the portion of the chassis where the mechanical speed controller was supposed to be and also cut the proportional length off the propeller shaft... joining the chassis was a bit tougher. i used graphite internal bracing and a bit of super glue and epoxy... what do you guys think?

So u used a Tamiya TL 01 and cut it into half than join back right.
I was thinking if the mini got 4WD than i can use it to drift.

Now i need to look for the suitable PVC pipe size to fit the mini rims.

actually, i have another project in the works:

i have another TL-01 and im just gonna chop off enough of the middle to shorten the wheelbase to 239mm.

i intend to install a Honda S2000 body to the shortened TL-01 and make it into a S2000 Drifter car.

i also have a unaltered TL-01 which i used last year in the Tamiya Asia Cup which i fitted with drift tires after i saw the "sg_drifters video" in another site. the video really got me going into drifting...
