if you wan you can get the big block which is the same as the speed 300. speed 300 requires a special mount from ARM racing.
buy the big block -comes with everything -

all mymotors are mail orders ...sg i could not find anyone selling.

each speed 300 is abt 15plus US $.

do a search and have fun.

i made one from AAA cells sanyo twicell 700 mah. soldered them together with a thick speaker wire (stripped the outer jacket).

o o o o o

notice, you can actually do 9 (4 by 5 humped )
it fits rather tight. in fact, you gotta force it in a bit. guys who run tc electric 1/10 at the track was pretty impressed with how fast mine could go. stock motor that is. if only i could make it handle better. you know, scale size to speed problem. or is it just me. besides, mostly i run indoor 6x10 m. track, 5-6 cells is plenty. BTW with the brick cells, you can go crazy on the number of cells. make sure your ESC lives through it though.

wow 9 cells thats a monster out there.

well i'm using 2/3 A cells so its rather tight now too.

With the speed 300 and 6 cell, its pretty fast and i spin out alot.
now looking for foam tires to hang on to the road.

There's only about 5-6 pple playing there every Sundae. Really hope ya guys will join to. Location is behind the Bedok Stadium, just take 31 from Tenah Merah Mrt station and stop right at the Bedok Stadium bustop. Just follow the path to the Bedok Stadium and ya can definitely see the shop! Heha.. The track which is set up is just behind the shop, where the street soccer court is!
Warning: Dun ya all dare to get the last Orion motor from Hobby Zone, I chopped it first!! harharhar..

Hi fuse01! Erm, sad to say.. we only play during Sundaes.. becoz the rest of the guys are working during the weekdays and there will be probably no time to play at nites... Aniwae, the orion mod has already been bought by someone and the only piece of modified motor left is the HPI moldified. Which is, I think about 40 dollars. Do call the guys in Hobby Zone to check it out man! *harhar.. there were 2 new comers that went down to play man! Unfortunately.. It rained, or else there should lotsa fun!*

Fuse01, understand u running speed 300, izit very fast? Then y u need the orion mod. Cannot understand??? Btw, heard the boss of Hobby Zone had tried a speed 280 bought locally, not so fantastic. Speed comparable with orion mod but not torque. Price definitely a lot lower than orion mod. I think even less than HPI mod!!!!!

Hi Ace,

i'm currently on a speed300, dont know how fast is it but it is much faster then stock by 50% i guess.

Well i know that orion mod is a coreless motor and is of a smaller size, runs colder then the speed 300 and has very good low power and battery comsumption.

Speed 300 and speed 280 are totally different motor. even if the there is only different of 20 heheh. Not compareable.

my guess would be 300 vs orion mod and 280 to hpi mod.

as for price wise..

1 orion mod can buy 3 speed 300,so the 300 makes a very good value to power ratio.

i have yet to see a orion mod run, but speed 300 in MS 1/10 track is rather slow, thus i would like to have a orion mod.

here is mysetup.

body: skyline 150mm (black)
motor : speed 300 with 300 motor plate and 11T/13T
extra parts:
GH ball diff front and GPM rear
metal dogbones with metal knuckles
RATSAZ Pro PAN chassis with VCS rear shock (no top deck)
85MG servo with side linkage steering
r330 pcm receiver- with Jr -R1 Tx
futaba MC400 w/reverse ESC
6 cell 2/3 A 1000 battery reconfigure in L-SHAPE.
gpm foams wheels all round.
homemade huge rear wing to keep the car stable in the 1/10 track.

have not run with any other micros before hope to join you guys for some fun soon.
