The Tomy BitCharG has been out for a few months already. They are quite fun racing on a (smallish) tabletop.

Out of the box they're not *that* quick... but you can always put in the hopup motors and stickier tyres. They charge off the TX's AA batteries so no hopping up the batteries & electronics...

The Tomys are 2ch & have full steering and throttle (but NOT proportional control - its "nintendo" full on or off).

There was rumour that Yokomo was to release a 1/64th car... me, I'll stick with the MicroRS4 - small enough for me!!

The Tanaka DigiQ and the Tomy ChargQ are both available now in Singapore actually at Toybox ( Paragon).
I cannot rem the price but its abt 50 to 70 for a complete set of the Tomy ChargQ, the Tanaka just arrived.
They make good cubicle racers during lunch time, not much in terms of performace but cute to play with. The cars do not have steerable front wheels but turn using differential control like a tank, ie possible to have zero radius turns : )

The Yokomo 1/60 cars are just released in Japan.
two body styes are available, Toyota Vitz and Honda Fit, price is 9980 yen, complete with a wheel type transmitter.

If I were to go to the extend of adopting a kid, I'll make sure that the kid has got more than enuff neurons in the head to go around and I'll doubly ensure that the kid exercises more discretion when it comes to answering any questions...

AO, now you know the reason...

BTW, Dragon, I'm not talking about you!!!
