In other countries, normally they'll repair their servos, as it's cheap as it cost a few days of coffee money.
Just make sure you put them back correctly; i.e. some gear needs to go in first before the other, in sequence. Take photos as you dismantle it.
Here, normally we replaced with a new one, a waste actually.
LHS normally keeps only the little white plastic gear, others none...
Unless we can get the replacement gears; if not we'll have to get new ones.
But gears will not wear so soon; IT'S THE ELECTRONICS that caused the problem... (Digital, Brushless, Analog will seldom have the electronic problem though)

He should charge at a more reasonable price; so more people will send to him for the repairs, this in turn will be good to him too.
Too expensive... sometimes, it doesn't seem worthwhile to repair come to think of it...

Servo Gears when damaged, it's 'should be' and will be cheap to replaced/changed. I don't know if it's selling cheap here though...
***But gears will not wear so fast; it's the the electronic problem will come first...
On the other hand, electronics problem we should and will need to send to a person or a company who is good in the repairs of servos.
