Hey guys
Firstly all the racing is at night, so its nice and cool.

EP rules are max 4s Lipo, motors no restrictions, all other rules as per 1/8 Nitro.

As for class numbers I dont think we will have any problems with getting 10, as usual the local guys will leave it to the last minute to enter, there at least another 4 locals to enter yet, all have said yes, just havent put in nomination forms.

But in the event we dont get 10, the class will still run, just the prizemoney amounts will be reduced accordingly, so please dont worry 1/8 EP will run!!!!!

Cheers
Tony

Hey guys remember numbers generate numbers, so getting your entries in can only convince others to join us.

Im considering running 1/8 EP and Pro Buggy as well, but I think it might be a bit much to run 2 classes and run the event as well

No probs, dont hesitate to contact me if you need anything only to happy to help.

As for tyres, Crimefighters are always a good tyre, I use regularly, But it all depends on the night, AKA City Blocks have been quick, but it really does depend on what the surface is doing, the quickest tyre I used was AKA gridiron hard, but they only lasted 8 minutes
Proline Calibre and Revolver both very good also.

But as a final word on the tyre debate, I have to say Proline due to the fact I am to announce soon their sponsorship of the AINC10.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5knvSzM1ZIU the circuit will be similar to this one, theres heaps of vids on the OCR video channel,

You will find my phone number on the website if you need to ring me, also there are all the usual facilites air water cleaning bay, full workshop, 240volt and 12 volt power, OCR Pitshop Pro shop on site, food and drinks.
Also if you needed to send any gear over early, I live and work at OCR, so it can be organised for gear to be sent to me and it will be looked after and safe. All I need to know is whats coming who's it is etc.

Hope to see sme nominations coming in from you guys soon

Cheers
Tony

It is with great pleasure we welcome Proline as a sponsor of the AINC10.

Hey again

Ive been checking to see what regulations there are on lipo batteries coming in to the country, so far I have been unable to find any info specifically on Lipo batteries, there is info on Lithium Ion. I am waiting for a call back form civil aviation safety in this regard so I will get back to you asap, but for now here is the CASA website address so please check for yourself http://www.casa.gov.au/scripts/nc.dl...D::pc=PC_90372

Ill get back to you as soon as I hear from them
Cheers

Hey again

Civil Aviation has been back to me in regards to Lipo batteries, they are considered the same as Lion

The rules are:
For Checked Baggage:

Consumer Electronic Devices eg RC Car containing Lithium metal or Lithium ion cells or batteries such as watches, calculating machines, cameras, cellular phones, laptop computers, camcorders etc., when carried by passengers or crew for personal use. (This means you can bring in batteries fitted in the RC car, so long as they cant be activated accidently (shorted)).

Carry on Baggage:

Lithium or lithium ion batteries - Spare - must be individually protected to prevent short circuits.
Lithium metal or lithium alloy batteries must not have a lithium content exceeding 2 grams
Lithium ion batteries must not have a Watt Hour rating of more than 100Wh.
Spare batteries must be individually protected so as to prevent short circuits (by placement in original retail packaging or by otherwise insulating terminals, e.g. by taping over exposed terminals or placing each battery in a separate plastic bag or protective pouch) and carried in carry-on baggage only.

(This means each carry on peice of luggage can contain 2 x Spare Lipo batteries) The formula for working out the Wh capacity of your batteries is

Volts x Mah divided by 1000 (eg 7.4volts x 5000mah divided by 1000 = 37Wh)

Hope this helps

Cheers Tony

No probs

the guys here are using 2 x 2s 5000mah and getting 2 x 8 minutes, so I think you should be right with yours for 1 x 8 minute

Also there has been a couple more local guys enter, and a couple more making noises about entering, so the numbers are starting to build up. Im hoping to see an entry form from you soon as well, so we can get this EP class looking nice and plump with drivers

Thanks again
Tony
