Default which glow plug is best for car engines?

i have 3 types of plugs at home, os number 3 and 8 as well as r4 from rossi or something like that. the default glow plug just died, i plugged in an os number 8 but mistakenly used a 12v starter instead and blew that one as well. anyone know which one is best for my engine? its a .15fe from hpi racing. and what's the difference between os 8 and os 3, i know 8 is colder, but is that significant?

aiyoh... OS 5? 6?

OS only got:

OS 8 (medium); or OS 7 and 9
OS A3 (medium) and A5

The A3 = #8 but the A3 is cheaper and doesn't last as long.
It has a plated element rather than solid metal in #8.

OS #8 works best in HPI engines; they last forever if you don't go an connect 12V to it. Strictly 1.5V only!
