Default What receiver Battery do you use for your 1/8

Hi Guys,

Apart from the nimh batt receiver battery for my 1/8 buggy .

I am not a very active player so battery always spoilt.

Can the lipo 360mah battery last for the whole day of racing for 1/8 buggy?

What receiver do you guys use?

Thanks

ok, i think 360mah is not enough as hump pack is already 1400-2000mah

use a 2cell lipo that can fit into your batt case, of course the more the mah the better but u need a LVC. I know Novak has one for 2cell.

Yes you can use a 2cell lipo, but what you really need is a voltage regulator aside from the LVC since servos can usually handle 6V, or unless you get the new high voltage servos offered by some brands like Hitec.

Which LHS sells that? Would you have space to place a voltage regulator + LVC and 2s lipo into the compartment?

i would recommand LiFe (A123) 2S 6.6v, no regulator needed...
lasts longer than nimh and not as 'fragile' as lipo.

Indeed a founder. You are really converting everyone you meet to EP 1/8.

How much to convert a hyper 7? Can I use a normal lipo charger to charge the 1/8 lipo?

Lol I earn $0.02 for per person I convert mah.

Ok here's the math

1. Motor buy used usd$120 tekin, neu, neu castle.
2. Lipo zippy from hobbycity usd$70 for 4s 5000 bnew
3. Esc hobbywing 80amp usd$70 or 150amp usd$120 bnew
4. Conversion kit usd$55 plus tray usd$11 bnew

that's it! It can run faster than your tourer n can wheelie also.

Yes your charger can charge the lipo unless it's a crap charger.
