based on the gear ratio typically used for turf, isn't the lowest available gear ratios for the g4rs still too tall for the track? think the lowest ratios are only 7.5x and 5.1x....

depends on what engine you're using.
try the shortest gearing and see how it goes.

you're using front diff? from what i know, dont go higher than 10k rear diff for turf track. 7k seems the norm for turf.

General setup for G4RS...

Front diff 50k~100k
Rear diff 5k~10k (lower less spin out)
Clutch gear 16/21 (OS TZ)
Shock oil 50wt with original spring all round
Front shock tower mounting: 2nd hole from top
Rear shock tower mounting, 2nd hole from bottom
Droop set as manual recommend
Tyres: GRP 37shore all round but sometime need to use 35Front

There are other factors...but above setting should get u started and adjust to suit your driving..

Shock position: 3nd from bottom
Anti-roll: flat
Downstop: 3mm
Tire: Twister 37
Roll centre: Second from bottom (stock is bottom) with 1mm shim removed from wheelhub
Camber: 3.5/3.0 degrees
Toe: 3 degrees in
Wheelbase: shorten 1mm
Rear Diff: 30K

Transmission
Gearing: 16/52 ~7.12, 21/46 ~4.8
Preload: 0.5mm
Clutch Gap: 0.6mm
Endplay: 0.1mm
Everything else: Stock

Body
Team Magic Stratus

stiffen up the front anti-roll bar to your liking if you find the steering still too agressive.... or use 37 shore up front.... or try a harder front spring, ie XRay Red.... i somehow find the TM springs too "squishy" when used at the front... its is longer than the XRAY springs and hence more progressive... just does not feel precise in the corners to me when used in front.... you may wish to experiment....

Overall, a very nice setup to drive... feels fast too...

comments or questions welcomed....
