My new Tekin RX8 and T8 2050kv came in today. In time for Sunday Segar session

Just finished soldering. Unfortunately the RX8 can also not power the Savox 1258. Just tried and lots of glitches

Got two of those 1258 and no ESC can power these power hungry servo's. Just the Orion Vortex was strong enough. All Castle ESC's glitch (Sidewinder, SCT, Mamba max and Mamba monster), the Tekin RSpro also.

Luckily I still have a BEC lying around. But I have to start soldering again. More wires. Bah...

It will solve the problem; have the same on my Mamba monster; no more glitches

So it is the supply from the ESC to the rx that caused the glitches in your case? I had thought that the problem with my 1/10 (non-Savox) was the weak bec in the rx, resulting in power being cut off intermittently. It only glitch with that particular esc from Hobbyking though, other esc worked fine with the rx and (non-Savox) servo.

Time for you to try some other servos, maybe?
Anyway, no excuses. You are ordered to run this Sunday, because I've got big bore shocks on the Hyper now and I need to test them.

No worries, BEC is in and working perfectly. No more glitches.

Actually I don't buy the Savox anymore. Last two were XP 1015 again. Stronger, faster and need less power. More expensive though

Ready for tomorrow. Bags packed!

Default NEED A GOOD COMBO

I'M WANTING TO GET A COMBO FASTER THAN THE 2400KV WITH 80AMP SPEEDY .. I'M NOT WILLING TO PAY $300 DOLLARS I THINK THAT IS JUST GREEDY FROM COMPANIES WITH THERE PRETTY LOOKING MOTORS .. THE CASTLE BRAND ARE JUST TO EXPANSIVE FOR MY LIKING . THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TURNIGY ONES PERSONAL CHOICE THOUGH . SO ANYONE CAN RECOMMEND . REMBER IM A TIGHT ARSE.

You can consider HW SC8 (120A ESC) with 2700Kv (4065 motor) combo. Its in the S$200++ range.

Default Nitro to electric conversion

I have a old model gs storm sut nitro. I am thinking of converting to electric power. Understand there is no direct conversion from gs, I may have to bring the sut to a shop, show them what I have for them to recommend the parts for the switch. Does anyone know where in Singapore has a shop like this who has the parts ready?

Your best chance is this

To customize a mount from a shop is going cost you alot. There are many new 1/8 Ep truggies or buggies to consider. More worth than converting a old truck. Unless u hv a lot of sentiment with it.
