Next time you can come by the EP 1/10 track just around the corner, a few of the 1/8 guys will still be around running their 1/10.
Is that motor going into the buggy, along with the 2S lipo?

running it as an SCT concept (SCT convert to buugy), I guess. I share the same view, love to see how it run.

Too many cars running together, ended slightly earlier due to high blood pleasure.

Quite amazing setup there.

ok so I just won a DXR8-E at the midwest champs in columbus. They arnt even on the market yet! enough bragging lets get to the point. Well i race 10th scale and want to get this running so i am looking to run 4s and want to be in the 1800-2100Kv range. Any suggestions on a good esc and motor combos? I also need a Good servo too. thank you

Interesting. Other than the paper thin shock towers, looks quite good actually.
As for what electronics to get, maybe check out what is available near you and what comes with the strongest after-sale support. I received pretty prompt and good support from Hobbywing here so I'm happy with my 150A XeRun combo. Nothing beats having that peace of mind.
Not that I know that much about 1/8 ep buggies, but from observing the old timers,
the track size or layout, and the car's gearing options will decide which kv range to use. The small track we run here means anything above 2000kv on 4S is not necessary.
I say NOT NECESSARY because a faster motor for the thrill is not a problem, but it will not guarantee quicker laps.
One difference between 1/10 and 1/8 electric is probably the tune-ability in final gearing.
As my Hyper 8 is more forgiving in it's gearing options, I'm able to use a 2250kv motor geared low to suit the track. In comparison, the gearing limitation of a Hyper 9E means the same 2250kv will be overkill here.
My thought regarding motor is that a sensorless motor is fine, while a smoother sensored one will be a bonus.

Nice one guys...
Many thanks to all the segar regulars for making my foray into 1/8 a fun one
You guys sure know how to 'poison' big time
Only glitch of the day is my front shock tower cracked after a spectacular mid-air collision with steven's buggy, the resulting cartwheels were too awesome for the buggy to handle
Looking forward to running again after CNY when everyone is more available
...Hopefully will see a few more buggies after CNY too heheh...
Have a great weekend guys!
