Default EPA - ABS and D-Rate

Hi guys,
Can somebody explain what is the function of "EPA - ABS and D-Rate" found in my TX.
Explain it not in scientific manner but in simple term . Im really noob

EPA - End Point Adjustment...

Turn your Tx steering wheel max and decrease steering EPA while you observe the car's steering angle...As it goes lower, the amount of steering gets lesser...This will let you understand what EPA does...

After you understand, make sure to calibrate the EPA to the car's maximum steering angle...Look at the car while you do it...

As for throttle, it depends on the setup of your ESC...

ABS - Something like the real car's Anti-lock braking system...

It pulses the brake so increasing the stability of the car during braking...

D-Rate - Dual Rate

Its the overall steering in percentage...
Example, if D/R is 100, you have 100% steering depending on your EPA...If you put 70%, then you have less steering angle, hence less steering compared to 100%...

Its easier to explain face to face la...

Hi Nov. based on your explanation correct me if I'm wrong in my understanding.

EPA- setting the degree of steering travel from center to left and center to right.

ABS- Its affect the behavior of break response.

D-Rate - percentage of EPA Settings. If you want to increase or decrease the current settings of EPA (by percentage)

Am I right?

Follow up question to yu guys!

Is it okay to set my EPA to more than 100?

or is it better to set my EPA to 100 then adjust my D-Rate to 120%?
by doing so am I not killing my servo dramatically?

Because by merely setting my EPA and D-Rate to 100% i can't turn the car the way I should want it.

You can increase your epa provided there it is not binding (you can hear your servo buzzing). You can also try increasingly your steering throw by doing mechanical changes.

"You can also try increasingly your steering throw by doing mechanical changes."

Can explain more on how to do that? (hoping its not chaging servo)

Depending on what car you drive, some cars have multiple mounting holes for the ball joints controlling the steering. Moving the ball joint to a hole further out from the pivot point will increase steering throw.

One example is the holes on your servo saver or servo horn. Using holes further away from the center of the horn will give you more throw and more speed at the expense of resolution and torque.

Do check that your servo is not binding. If it is then you are likely to have reached the steering limit of the car. If the car is still not turning enough into the corner then you have a setup problem (understeer) or you are simply entering the corner too quickly.

hmmm!!!! my servo has one hole only, but ive seen servo saver with 3 holes before. maybe i should do some experementaion with my controller regarding "epa" and "d-rate" (and avoid setting it to the max so it will not create a buzzing sound as you mentioned) or i might tried other servo saver
