I think you can start most nitro engines with a starter box provided there is flywheel access.

Starting with a starter box is supposed to be better because you can eliminate the pull-start and other accessories that will increase the weight of the car / buggy.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I'm quite new to rc car, what do you mean by flywheel? U refering to access from the chasis whereby the starter box can reach for the flywheel which looks like a round gear to rotate? is that wat u refering?

Default Academy ST

Hi does anyone know if the Academy kits are any good? For e.g. I'm looking at the Stadium Truck Griffin. Are the parts interchangeable with Kyosho or AE? Any ideas?

academy kits are good.
if you look at the sb v2, its a really good based 4wd with a small startup price.
only thing you need to worry is parts
2ndly, interchangeable parts depends on how good you are at modding and remember tha you may need to alter the angles or cambers if the patrs match but have a different seating position
2 cents/

i see bro. cos i think they look really like the kyosho or AE kits..but much cheaper..heard that some parts do wear out and are not as hardy..but still...price paid is what we get. know what u mean..
sbv2 looks really like a ZX5..
