Default Anyone know about old "Comras GP" from Sanwa?

I am trying to find out more about this... maybe some old-hand can help.

It is a receiver and ESC unit, probably originally in an RC Motorcycle of some kind. The only writing on it says Comras GP sanwa and it has a Green 5 27Mhz AM crystal in it.

Has antenna wire, battery wires, servo connection, and motor wires and an On/Off switch all in a matchbox sized case

Does anyone have info on where it came from and what it's voltage requirements are (i.e. how many cells to run on it?)

Any help would be great.

the Comras is indeed made by Sanwa, for use in kyosho's hanging on rider series of motorcycles. last time when i was into these motorbikes, we used kyosho's 7.2v 600mah batteries and the le mans DM20BB motor to power the bikes. however there's an even more powerful unit made by sanwa also, the Comras GPR which has better FETs. u might 1 2 try contact toykar check whether they have these units available. fyi, there's a similar unit from futaba made for the bikes also, but i can't remember the model liao.

Futaba made more than 1 version.

MCR-2C is for cars, with reverse
7.2 - 8.4v
max continuous current - 30A
Max instant current - 100A
recommended motor kyosho DM-20 or 280 class motor.

MCR-2MS is for kyosho HOR bikes so no reverse.
dunno spec.

Winnie has a MCR-2C in her window display.

Central hobby plus have the comras.

BC, want to build monster bike ah????

Actually, BC was asking for me. I am in the middle of converting a Juggernaut Jr. to RC. I was given this Comras GP unit and was hoping to use it.

Just wanted to post a "Thank you" to BC for the information he's turned up for me, and to those who posted info here as well.
