If this is a M3 size screw that it will be difficult to take it out, but what you could do is to use a countershunk drill bit or a 8 or 9 sized drill bit to drill the head off. Next, carefully use a size 2.5 drill to drill on the screw itself. I've done this a few time for my nitro engine mount on the bottom chasis. Since, I use a bolt instead.

Use a cutting disc meant for the mini dremel. Cut a new groove, then use a flat head screwdriver to unscrew it. The cutting action might bite into the chassis cos you will want to get the groove bigger to get a better lock.

Hope this helps.

I used to cut a slot too, then use a flat headscrew driver....until I bought screw extractor.

Very simple to use, just drill a hole into the screw, turn the screw extractor in clockwise until you feel it have grap a hold of the screw, and turn anti-clockwise. The screw will be removed with the extractor.

But remember to buy good ones. Don't buy those 4pcs for $10 ones. Since for RC, most of our screws are M3-M4, just buy a good one at about $8 for that range of diameter and it can last really long.

Try All Tools Trading near Singapore Casket (quite expensive), or the hardware shop at the basement of sim lim tower.

Yup. For M3 screws, i drill a 2mm diameter hole. Dun have to be thru hole, but deep enough for the extractor the grip the screw.
