What does over gear means? What does it means when the motor or ESC is too hot?

Can someone please enlighten?

bro... dun be one of those who keep starting new thread leh... look around first before starting a new one... nonetheless, i shall answer you... Overgear means your final drive ratio is TOO BIG (small number)... meaning it overheats your ESC AND MOTOR... if this happens, try dropping 1 or even two pinion (the gear on your motor) teeth... meaning if u running on 23teeth PINION, try to drop it to 22 first... if its STILL TOO HOT, drop another tooth... TOO HOT meaning after you run one or two laps, you cannot keep your finger on the motor for more than one second...
