Oh.motor zapping is to increase the strength of the magnets by appyling extreme electric currents.also it can advance the timing of the motor WITHOUT changing endbell position.
this is extremely useful for stock racing cos it gives u the edge.
i think about 10-15% increase in RPM , 5% increase in efficiecly can be gained.
Requires a motor zapper(duh)

I think cost about S$800plus 6 yrs back.
After he closed, the zapper disappeared with him....hehehe......

Any way I heard some saying the magnets used in today motor have not much effect or differences after being zapped.......

Well in my opinion, the magnets in today's stock motors are pretty strong and moreover it is the driver's skills that is more important. 60% skill 30% equipment and the rest is luck. So if you practise hard you can see the result. Why dun you try changing the brush to silver brush and experiment with the spring tension to get the maximum torque and speed from it. Anyway, you can't change the endbell timing for stock motor. It is fixed. Besides there is no point in going fast if you can't control the car. You will only get behind others because of the knocks. I say this because our Tamiya Asia Cup A main Driver Alvin Koh uses only the basic stuffs on his car and he can still win the race with it. That is call SKILL.
