URBAN RC is pleased to announce details of our next exciting event.

SPEED. Urban RC Indoor Masters 2019

This will be a 2-day extravaganza to be held at Heartbeat@Bedok on 17 – 18 Aug, 2019.

For the first time in Singapore, an R/C event will feature 2 R/C tracks and 3 different R/C competitions. It will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase our hobby/sport to a wider audience.

For onroad racers, the on-going Urban Touring Series (UTS) will move offsite for the first time with Round 5 to held on the indoor carpet surface. Apart from the usual UTS classes of TC 17.5T blinky and Formula 21.5T blinky, 2 special classes will be run, namely the Mini Class and Truck Class.

For offroad racers, the first ever Urban Carpet Buggy Masters will feature the 2WD and 4WD open classes.

Drifters will not be left out as we are joining forces with the drift community to host Round 1 of the 2019 Ladder to TDC Singapore, with the Open RWD and Battle Royale being the feature classes.

And if that is not enough, a public “Give-it-a-Go” track will also be setup to provide those who are new to the hobby with the chance to run hobby-grade radio control cars free of charge.

Here are the rules applicable to the Onroad & Offroad Classes to be run at SPEED. Urban RC Indoor Masters 2019

ONROAD
1. Touring Car 17.5T Blinky
As this will be run as part of the 2019 Urban Touring Series (UTS), the UTS rules this class will be in use eg motors, weight, bodyshells etc. As this is a carpet race, the controlled tyre and additive will be announced in due course.

2. Formula 21.5T Blinky
As this will be run as part of the 2019 Urban Touring Series (UTS), the UTS rules this class will be in use eg motors, weight, bodyshells etc. As this is a carpet race, the controlled tyre and additive will be announced in due course.

Please refer here for the applicable UTS rules. Do note that the previously announced Round 5 of the UTS that was to be held on 25 Aug will now be held as part of this event on 17-18 Aug instead.

3. Mini Class
- Chassis : Open 2WD Mini
- Motor: Tamiya 15.5T or 17.5T motor on the UTS Approved List
- ESC : Open with non-boost mode showing blinking LED lights. If in doubt, please contact Urban RC
- Gear ratio : For Tamiya minis, max 20T (FDR 5.78). For other brands, min FDR of 5.78.
- Bodyshell : Open except no touring car type bodyshells. If in doubt, please contact Urban RC.
- Battery : Max 7.6v 2S Hard-Case Lipo Batteries Only. Charging must be in a Lipo Safety Bag, with a max charge Rate of 10amp, and voltage not to exceed 8.40v
- Tyres : TBA
- Min weight : 1280g

4. Truck Class
- Chassis : Tamiya TT01/E chassis only
- Motor : Tamiya 15.5T or 17.5T motor on the UTS Approved List
- ESC : Open with non-boost mode showing blinking LED lights. If in doubt, please contact Urban RC
- Gear ratio: Maximum Allowed Spur: 55T, Maximum Allowed Pinion: 25T
- Bodyshell : Open truck bodyshells
- Battery : Max 7.6v 2S Hard-Case Lipo Batteries Only. Charging must be in a Lipo Safety Bag, with a max charge Rate of 10amp, and voltage not to exceed 8.40v
- Tyres : TBA
- Min weight : 1450g

OFFROAD
1. 2WD Open Buggy Class
Chassis: 2WD buggies only
Motor: Open
ESC : Open
Tyres : TBA
Battery : Max 7.6v 2S Hard-Case Lipo Batteries Only. Charging must be in a Lipo Safety Bag, with a max charge Rate of 10amp, and voltage not to exceed 8.40v

MINIMUM RIDE HEIGHT
To minimise potential damage to the carpeted racing surface, please note that minimum ride height rules will be in effect for both the offroad and onroad classes for this event. The minimum ride heights to be observed will be announced in due course.

Further, we would also like to advise participants to ensure that there are no loose under-chassis screws or unusual sharp protrusions from the bodyshell. Once again, this is to minimise potential damage to the racing surface.

To facilitate the confirmation of event logistics, we are requesting that all participants make full payment of their race fee at Urban RC by 9 August 2019. Late payment after 9 August will be subjected to a $5 surcharge per class of entry. Thank you for your understanding. Further to the announcement that the tyres for the offroad classes will be "Open Rubber Tyre", we would like to clarify that, while we remain open to racers using their own choice of tyres, the tyres used should generally avoid those tyres that could potentially damage the carpet racing surface (eg tyres with hard sharp spikes). Urban RC reserves the right to exclude tyres that damage the carpet surface from being used. If you are unsure, please check directly with Urban RC. Thanks for your understanding.

TRACTION COMPOUND
For the onroad event, the approved traction compound is the Hudy Carpet Gripper. No other compounds will be permitted. On Sunday, 18Aug, a traction sauce station will be setup and the Hudy compound will be provided for your use. Pls remove all other compounds from your pit table. For clarity, motor spray may not be used to clean your tyres.

MINIMUM RIDE HEIGHT
For the onroad race, the minimum chassis ride height and bodyshell to ground clearance will be as follows:

Touring Cars, Truck and 4WD Mini : 5mm
Formula & 2WD Mini : 3mm

Pls ensure that this is complied with fully. We will check this pre-race with the bodyshell mounted. This is to ensure minimal damage to the carpet surface during the event.
